I love this shower curtain bc it's great quality and allows me to skip the plastic curtain all together! It definitely did not shrink as much as they warn you, so mine is a little long. I drape it over the shower head so the bottom is able to air dry, and I haven't had any issues with mildew. I actually bought two; a 36in for my master shower and a full size for the guest. However, I ended up using the full size curtain for my 36in shower bc the smaller curtain let too much air in on the sides, and allowed more spray to get out. The full sized curtain works perfectly in the small shower, and makes sure no water escapes! I love it!!

What a relief to get rid of my old plastic shower curtain! It was supposed to have been mold resistant. However, mold formed in the creases, and would not come out with machine washing. Only scrubbing with Ajax took the mold. Fed up with plastic, I bought this hemp curtain, washed, and hung it. We are delighted and surprised that the air in the bathroom seems fresher and cleaner. My guess is that the chemical-loaded plastic was affecting the air quality. This curtain is a light, nut-colored beige, very attractive, easy to maintain and a healthy addition to our plastic-free bathroom.

I wanted to like the curtain. It is attractive, the color subtle and the material interesting. I was not concerned about mildew as I planed to use it for my patio doors. It was a perfect length and width and generous when I held it up. It actually touched the floor and crumpled by over an inch. It was a little wrinkled so I followed the directions that came with it. I washed it in cold water and used the delicate cycle for good measure. When I took it out of the washer it was far more wrinkled than when it went in. I decided to leave it that way and call it the rumpled look. When I ever hung it I was stunned. It had shrunk like mad. It was now inches above the floor and no longer covered the width which it had done generously before it was washed in cold water. Don’t even think about washing it in warm water! I will lower the rod to solve the length issue but there’s nothing I can do about the width. I could not recommend the curtain. My conclusion is the best use for hemp is to smoke it.

I love having an all natural, American made product as a shower curtain and not worrying about plastic leaching. I do have hard water so the white does show that and even if I wash it with some oxy boost, it doesn’t take the stain away. But it’s easy to use and dry out after each shower. I would definitely purchase this again.

I had high hopes for this product, most of the reviews were good and the quality of the product looked good. Most of the one star reviews were about the mold, but I was confident in my ability to keep it clean and the mold at bay. I succeeded for about the first month. Just hung it outside the tub to dry after every shower and it was fine. However, this was just the honeymoon phase. It started to get a small amount of mildew, so I threw it in the wash and followed the instructions for washing. It was all good, but after the 3rd monthly wash holes started to appear in the curtain. it got to the point where I could not wash it in the machine anymore because of all the tears, but the mold never went away. I used vinegar and bleach, but nothing held it back at this point. Today I have to throw it away, such a waste of money. Do not recommend.

First I want to say is I don’t give 5 stars unless it exceeds my expectations. I have had the curtain since Jan. 2019 and have been pleased with its quality construction. After all the warnings in the bad reviews I was very careful. I washed it weekly in cold water, dried on low heat and watched for mildew. After a few weeks I noticed the curtain was a little long and laying a bit in the bottom of the tub. Long story short, I can’t get the darn thing to shrink. I wash on hot and dry on high. It shrinks maybe 3 inches but as soon as its wet its back down. The bottom hem that lays in the tub does seem a little dark like it might be getting mildew or it may just be the folds in the hem when they are damp and they are the last to dry. We shower at night. In the morning I lift it out of the tub and let it hang outside the tub to dry more effectively. I’m happy, just saying.

I got this almost a year and a half ago and it’s held up well for a fabric. I loved that I could wash it and simply hang it back up afterwards. It doesn’t stick to you like a plastic shower curtain can. It’s finally breaking down and getting mildew on it. It got a few holes the last time I washed it. I have ordered a replacement and will put the old one in my compost bin. I love that it’s sustainable and I’m not throwing gobs of plastic away.

So far no mold or mildew, although it hasn’t been very long. I shower daily for about 5-8 minutes and someone else uses the shower every few days. The curtain gets a bit wet and I open the window and allow the bathroom to vent, so I’m doing everything I can to take care of it, but it dries out within a few hours, it seems. If it gets any mildew, I’ll wash it immediately. It replaced a disgusting toxic vinyl thing and a hideous fabric curtain that was in the bathroom when I moved into a place, so I’m happy to have this natural, beautiful, non-toxic hemp curtain instead. It makes me feel much better to support the hemp industry than the petroleum industry... This curtain wasn’t cheap, but it’s worth it and I’m happy.
