Description

A brush specifically created to clean ropes. Adapts easily to different diameters. Twist the brush onto the rope then run the rope through the brush while holding it firmly under water. BEAL has developed a special ink for marking ropes, in the middle as well as at the ends. This ink hardly stiffens the rope, is water resistant, and stands up to abrasion well. NB: it does not affect polyamide. The container has a small roller at the tip for better inking.

    • Scrubs great and really loosens up imbedded grime.
Takes some elbow grease as it fits tight on 13-14 mm rope, but does the job well. Am in tree care so our lines need cleaned much more often so also purchased a rope scrubber I could attach a hose to and mount more permanently. I've used this twice now on a dry treated rope. First time I held the brush under water in a sink and pulled the rope through once. Got most of the dirt. Second time I held it in the shower stream, cupping it in my hand to get as much water in the brush as I could. This time when I got to a visible dirty spot I twisted the brush, it cleaned it up much better that way. ... show more

I used this brush along with some light soap (unscent Method dish soap) in the bathtub to clean my dirty old Sterling 9.4 and it came out better than I could have ever hoped. I tried washing the rope once without the brush and it barely made a difference. With the brush, the tub water was pitch black by the end and my rope looks.. well not like new but you can tell it's lime green again. 5/5 would recommend. ... show more

This brush works really well. I used a large tub and Sterling rope wash. Let it set in the water for 30 to 45 minutes to start and rinse. Repeat using the detergent and then run the rope through the brush. Repeat again using clean water and run it through the brush. Did a nice job on cleaning up a dirty rope ... show more

Awesome product. Just keep in mind you might have to do some bending to get it to fit your rope. The ends of the metal backbone are quite sharp, so you need to be very careful that you don't scratch your rope as you're pulling it through the brush.

Works great removes a lot of dirt, best when soaked in hot water.

    • Works much better than washing machine.
This little brush cleans much better than the washing machine and it does not make the rope fatter like the machine. Would recommend using rope wash soap for the first couple of passes. It does require quite a bit of effort to pull a 9.8 through several times. Overall, I'm very pleased.
