Let’s be honest. Most hair your order on Amazon is not going to be virgin remy hair. Most have that chemical smell, most have gone through and extreme heat and chemical process. And definitely not natural curly hair. With the understanding of what this hair actually is, it’s not bad quality for the price. I would use this for temporary styles I’d never lock this into someone’s hair for years to come.

I ordered the DDSL Afro Kinky Bulk Human Hair to create mini twists and add volume to my natural hair. Overall, it’s decent quality, but there are a few things to keep in mind before buying. What I liked 💖 Soft texture: The hair feels soft and lightweight right out of the package. It blends fairly well with natural kinky/coily textures. Natural appearance: Once installed, it looks realistic and not overly shiny or synthetic. Styling flexibility: You can dye, bleach, twist, and braid it. I appreciated having the freedom to customize it for loc repair and small twists. Beginner support: The brand mentions tutorials and support, which is helpful if you’re new to installing bulk hair. What could be better 👎 Bundle size is small: At 35g per bundle, you’ll likely need multiple packs for a full head. The cost adds up quickly. Some shedding/broken strands: There were a few shorter or loose hairs in the bundle. Not excessive, but noticeable. Length measurement can be misleading: The stated length is measured after stretching the hair, so it appears shorter in its natural kinky state. Quality is good, not premium: While it’s real human hair, it doesn’t feel as thick or long-lasting as higher-end bulk hair brands. Durability With proper care, it holds up reasonably well in twists and small styles, but I wouldn’t expect it to last several installs. The Installation: I used this afro bulk human hair for a small protective style and some targeted filling where I needed extra volume. Before installing, I gently opened the pack and separated the hair by hand. I lightly misted it with water and worked through it with my fingers only. The hair separated cleanly without breaking apart or clumping, which made prep much easier. I then sectioned my own hair and installed it using a simple twist method, working slowly to keep the curl pattern intact. The Testing: Once installed, the first thing I noticed was how natural the texture felt. The curls are tight and fluffy but still soft to the touch. it looked vibrant without feeling stiff or overly processed. The hair held its shape well and did not mat up, even with daily movement and light manipulation. I refreshed it with a little water and leave‑in, and the curls bounced back easily.

I was disappointed from the start. This hair sheds like nobody’s business. I expected some minimal shedding (it is human hair), but this was excessive and constant. Every time I touched it, more hair came out. I already deal with enough dog hair around my house — I definitely don’t need another “living being’s” hair shedding all over everything. This was supposed to be used for loc repair and styling, but the shedding made it completely impractical. The texture itself looks decent at first, but once the shedding starts, it’s a wrap. Hair everywhere, nonstop. For the price and the purpose it’s advertised for, this was a big letdown. Not going to be picking hairs off my clothes etc. Overall, this was a no for me. Too much shedding to be usable. No just no.

Ok yall...I'm not a big review girlie, but let me put ya on something! This hair is amazing. I'm a loced girl and I was really just looking for hair to reconstruct and fix some locs if ya know ya know. When I got this hair it was so soft and super easy to use and loc repairing my own loc. I also added in some loose hairs and baby the volume and softness is incredible! I'm not even done ( I have a lot of locs) but when I am I will post before and after pics, but even now I'm getting so many compliments on my locs! I can hardly wait to finish. This hair is human and soft and natural looking. This is my hair store for real!
