I love these gloves a lot. They slip right on and slip right off in case you need them on or off your hands quick for certain handling of stuff. I use these for bbqs and so fsr ever since I haven't gotten any burn injuries finally. After handling some heat the heat can get trapped within the glove ans can kinda sting or even hurt a little but trading a little sting for a full on burn scar is always worth it. Don't expect them to totally protect you but they do a lot more than nothing. 7.5 out of 10 on heat protection. Everything else on these gloves I love. Design is nice, they are long on the arm and have a nice comfortable thickness to them. Also the silicone gripping on the outside Is very helpful.

These gloves look great, but not sure about the 1,400+ degree heat claim. I grabbed the handle of my cast iron pan off the grill. I doubt it was close to 1,400 degrees and the heat went through to my hand very quickly. Thankfully no burns, I was able to put it down quickly. Otherwise, I really like the gloves.

Perfect for lifting hot jars out of my canner and I also do pottery and saves my widdle fingers many times. Today I grabbed a tray of hot turnovers n darn near burnt my hands off. Best I can figure is they were damp inside. Didn’t feel wet outside but it sure hurt taking a Point away for these things holding water without feeling wet!!!!

Holding cast iron pans that came straight off the grill or out of the oven, one realised that one can at best hold them for 1 minute. I had expected better, but it maybe all that can be expected.

I have had other gloves fall apart between fingers. These have not. Keep in mind that, if you do artisan sourdoughs at temps of 500+ degrees using Dutch ovens, you need to plan to minimize the time of holding blazing hot cast iron; if you do, the gloves will last.
