The media could not be loaded. I loveeee my bookcase!!!! It’s perfect!!!! Very sturdy and beautiful!!! Superrrr easy to assemble! I was really worried of assembling it on my own, but then I read the reviews and one reviewer mentioned that she was 60 and I’m like nope. If SHE can do it so can I! Lol It was also very well packaged. I was very concern about that since I noticed some customers complained about that. Mines arrived in perfect condition (although the box outside was a bit beat up), but there was a lot of styrofoam and everything was also divided by a sheet of styrofoam as well to prevent any scratching. As for tools, I used my own hammer (you’ll barely need it) and my own flat screw driver. I didn’t see any supplemental/provided tools in the box. I also read that another user suggested using glue for the little wood pieces? I honestly didn’t think it was necessary. Also towards the end of the directions it says to hammer four screws into the wood? But I also didn’t find that necessary. Loveeeee my bookcase!!! ... show more

I was hesitant to buy this item after reading a few negative reviews but i rolled the dice and am pleasantly surprised with the overall product. Putting together by yourself isn't that hard, took about 30 mins or so, just need a screw driver. Fully built it's pretty sturdy, can handle some weight, it's only wobbly if you move it, up against a wall it's perfectly fine, if you are concerned you can always attach it to a wall with brackets. I bought this for my new hobby room. I ended up buying a 2nd one because i liked it so much. I've loaded my book collection on one of them. there are no sagging shelves under the weight ... show more

Heavy cumbersome boxes cannot be avoided. Upon arrival the pieces were packed well and not damaged at all. Easy assembly, good instructions and I could actually by my 60 year old womanly self get them from the front living room to my back study without a battle or breaking me or any other living or non-living thing in the process. I thought 2 of the tall would be overpowering but I needed the space for a lot of books and decor. The solution which pleases the eye and the wallet plus creates admiration among friends and envy among foes? Buy 1 of each of this taller 6-shelf and 1 of the shorter 3-shelf and place them side-by-side! Terrific. (Or get 2 tall and 1 short to put between.) My photo shows the overall effect but please don't zoom in and speculate that I am finished with filling and decorating those shelves...still a lot of things to go on and I've got a nice framed canvas of "Birth of Adam" for the space over the shorter shelf. A couple lamps too. But at least you can get the idea :) ... show more

I really love this bookcase. I was worried about quality & it was really unstable at first, but I used an L bracket on the top to attach to a stud in the wall & it is very sturdy now!
