I've used these keyboard skins since I first got my MacBook Pro in 2015, and would not want to risk something falling into the keyboard keys by not having them safely covered. __ The silicone skin is lightweight and is form-fitting over the keyboard keys __ This particular skin is rather opaque but some light from the keyboard shows through __ I replace these skins about twice per year as they will wear with keyboard use making the color on often used keys (like the Shift key and letters T, E, R, etc.) start to wear off. I've never had them wear completely through, but I prefer the color to remain uniform, so thats why I replace the skin that often WORTH NOTING: All keyboards are NOT alike. My old MacBook Pro is a mid 2015, meaning that keyboard has an additional row at the top, whereas other newer models do not. BOTTOM LINE: These skins are a definite MUST HAVE for me.

Sought this keyboard cover out after our kitten tore the old one, which was translucent. I’d seen this brilliantly-colored one when a friend held hers up on Zoom. It’s a little less secure on the keys than the old one, but does not have the slightly tacky feel the previous one always had, so I appreciate the texture much more. I killed a laptop once, spilling soda on it. Since then, I've relied on one of these covers to keep the keyboard safe and pristine, and it hasn't let me down.

Easy to put on keys - fits firmly. A previous one I had didn't. The colors are dulled when put over black keyes. Can live with that.

Like any keyboard cover, over time it’ll wear down and stretch. That’s just how it is. My old one came with a case I bought and it lasted me, from what I remember, a good year before it started warping. Now it’s time for a new one. This fits like a glove, or better even. It feels really good to type on so I’m very satisfied. The color is much darker than advertised but that’s fine. It’s still very nice and would recommend. Just make sure it fits your model. I’m using a MacBook Air, 2017 edition and it fit right in

I wanted to wait a bit before reviewing this, so I'd know more about how it works. It looks good and seemed to be good quality initially. I was initially very disappointed that the lights do NOT shine through where the letters/numbers/symbols show up. These are actually white and continue to block the light. Thankfully, I don't look at the keys when I type, but I did like the look and I was bummed they don't shine through. The cover seemed to fit really well at first, but after having it for a while (on a laptop I don't use that much), the cover won't stay down by the space bar. You can still use the keyboard okay, but it's very annoying. I've tried really pushing it down again, but it seems that the cover is warped, though I've only had it for a little over 3 months and barely use the laptop, but it's still distorted and doesn't fully cover the keys. I can only imagine how badly it'll be puckering in a few more months.
