This is my second pair of Bates and I’m already a fan of them so it may be a little biased but these are very comfortable and lightweight. I like this style because it has the zipper on the side for quick off and on. Easy to clean and waterproof. The only thing I wish these were maybe an inch shorter so I don’t have to get such long socks or they rub on my leg, it’s not painful or anything it’s just something I noticed. My last pair I had for about three years but after about the first year and a half the outer sold had a crack that made them not waterproof and the soles padding isn’t as comfortable as it once was. I still have the old pair and wear them for yard work and dirty work that doesn’t involve too much water. I hope these show the same durability I’ve come to expect from Bates. They are a great value for the price

I wear these boots as my daily shoe and I have another pair as my farm boots. I ride horses in them too. They are durable, water resistant, super comfortable from day 1, excellent support, the zipper makes them easy to get on and off. Best boot!

Genuinely these are the best pair of boots i’ve ever owned. I just had to replace them after almost 2 years simply because they were so worn down from use that they weren’t supporting my feet as well anymore, but other than that I never had a single issue with them. They are easy to put on once you get them tied how you like, they fit fantastic, are incredibly functional, and over all they are just damn good quality and great as an everyday year round boot. Pictures included show the difference of brand new vs how badly I wore them out. If you are looking for a solid work boot, or like me, a solid combat boot that looks cool but holds up well to wear and tear, I for sure recommend these.

I'm very disappointed. I purchased the exact same boots, same style number, same size. They fit very differently from last year. They are very stiff. Today the zipper broke on the right boot. I have had them for 7 weeks but only been wearing them 2-3 weekly because they are so difficult to break in. They need to go back to how they were last year. They've most likely lost my business and I will be communicating this to my company, as I was an advocate to get Bates added to our boots we can order directly through work.
