  • Get this book!!!!
This book is awesome. It has detailed charts and explenations of most every scale you would need as well as all the major/minor and power chords. This book has exploded my playing, and I'm now gaining a better understanding of playing bass lines off the cuff in various keys. I would recomend this book for the beginner or the old pro. Add this to your library and keep on rockin'!! ... show more

  • Great book: You can start playing immediately
Simple, great book - it lays out the patterns without hiding the ball in theory. You can start playing immediately, and learn theory as you go.

  • Just what I needed.
I've always been a woodwind player but recently started a interest in guitar. I wish I had found this information sooner when I bought my base. This is really a eye opener for me. Now bass is starting to make sense. Thanks, I'm starting to enjoy it a lot more

  • Very Good
This is not a book for beginners. This book assumes that you already know some intermediate techniques and theory about bass playing and should serve only as a companion or cheat sheet for all the scales, modes and chords. The book lists them all and is an excellent source for chord soloing and improvisations. ... show more

  • Useful
This booklet provides beginners bass players a useful tool to the understanding the idea and practice of chords. It is particularly important for bass playing that treat chords differently than instruments as guitar or piano.
