Very comfortable, lightweight, stylish hiking shoe. I especially appreciated the gripping rubber sole, since I purchased these for hiking in sandy, rocky mountain terrain. I wore these shoes for about 8 hours and my only complaint is the fabric rubbed against my Achilles aggravated the skin a bit because I wore low cut socks. I would recommend slightly higher ankle socks to cover your Achilles if you have sensitive skin in that area and plan to wear the shoes for moderate to heavy hiking or climbing. ... show more

    • Toe Box Not Wide Enough for my Needs

Wow — so disappointed. Based on a couple of the reviews stating the shoe ran wide and a bit big and also a review saying it has a medium wide toe box, I thought this shoe would be roomy in the toe box. It definitely is just a normal medium width but it runs a bit short in length and that is without a sock. I put on a medium thick sock and the shoe was tight. I am traditionally a true 7 medium width, but I just developed left foot plantar fasciitis with a small bunion by my baby toe and so most of my shoes are not wide enough in the toe box. I don’t need a true wide size because my heel is narrow. I have a pair of Bass duck shoes that are super wide in the toe box, so I hoped these would be too. The blue shoe is gorgeous, sole and quality good, and I liked the flexible mesh upper. I didn’t pay much attention to the cushioning or arch support since the shoe was not a good fit for me. I’m excited to try these on slippery grounds. They fit very true to size. The sole has many deep groves and even a few spiked areas! The laces are such that they can adjust exactly to my needs.my toe box is on the medium wide side and heel is narrow. Again, they fit perfect. Highly recommend!
