This is the perfect muzzle for my little Yorkie whose 11 lbs and chases after my big hound dog. He has plenty of room to pant, take snacks and a drink while still not being able to nip. It goes on and off easy and I'm very happy with it. I'm adding a pic of my dog for sizing. She has a 3" snout and 10" around and wears a size 3. It gives room for my fingers giving space to give treats and room for her to move. It stays on secure but it's loose enough for comfort. She likes to eat poop and food off the ground and is scared of other dogs running towards her. She becomes reactive out of fear so this muzzle covers it all.

I purchased this muzzle because my 8lb yorkie managed to cut his eye and needed eye drops multiple times a day. He does not at all enjoy the process and has left a mark or two to prove just how much he dislikes having eye drops put in. Based on the measurements and size chart, a size one should have fit him. Even on the tightest settings, he was able to wiggle out of it. UPS delivered the package at 10:45am, by 12:00pm I attempted to initiate a return but Amazon’s automated system told me that the item can’t be returned. I started a chat thinking it was a flaw in the system but the person I chatted with said that this item can not be returned. She could not proved me with where in the description it clearly stated that the item was not able to be returned, just to see the return policy. Why can I return a swimsuit, bra or panties but not an unused dog muzzle that was in my home less than two hours!? Eventually the Amazon rep was able to refund my money, seeing as I am a Prime member and it didn’t seem fair. Quality - As far as the actual quality of the product I would give it five stars. The front rubber piece of the muzzle is well made, breathable, and firm so that it won’t collapse onto the dogs muzzle. The straps to tighten or loosen are well constructed and have a sewn ‘knot’ at the end so that it can’t slip out. Maybe it’s not fair to give a 1 star rating since the quality is great, but I want others to know that the sizing chart was wrong and it’s not return or exchangeable. It’s not cool of them to mess with our money like that.

I have a reactive small dog that I am in the process of working with. Of course training, especially training for reactivity, takes time. I work hard to avoid my dog's triggers outdoors but we live in the city so that's not always possible. The stress of how he was reacting in certain situations was making me so stressed that walking and training my dog outdoors was something I started to dread. I'm sure my stress level was making the whole situation much worse! I decided to start muzzle training my dog for my own piece of mind. I bought this muzzle and a few others but ended up keeping this one and returning the others. It works well and out of all the muzzles I've tried it seems to be the one my dog is the most comfortable in. It's sturdy but at the same time allows my dog to pant, drink, and I can feed him treats as well. Makes our time outdoors much less stressful for me and in turn less stressful for my dog as well.

The 1st BLACK Baskerville Ultra muzzle was a test. Impressed with its performance, fit and comfort on my problem-terrier, I've ordered this muzzle for my 2 other dogs. It will replace my senior larger dog's costly wire cage basked muzzle which has become too heavy for her, is clearly uncomfortable The BLACK Baskerville Ultra muzzle is well made, a perfect fit and light weight - very important for a small dog. Note(1): Have found that an Elizabethan collar helps with the dog's adjustment period. The dog can't get the muzzle off, injure itself nor damage, ingest parts of the muzzle while wearing the Elizabethan collar. (**The dog should Still be closely monitored until, over time, it has acclimated to the muzzle.) Note(2): There's a BROWN version of the Baskerville Ultra showing on the seller's page. It does NOT use the same harness. It' uses an inferior harness system to the BLACK Baskerville Ultra muzzle. e.g. It employs a clasp that rests atop the dog's head. (a) I don't believe that would be comfortable for the dog (particularly a small dog); (b) The clasp, I suspect, would limit adjustment range. The part of the harness that goes around the neck uses a buckle rather than a slide adjustment. The latter (found on the BLACK version) I would expect is far more adjustable. --- Have a terrier breed dog which has turned the back yard into a moonscape with her digging. Causing me and my elderly larger dog injury. The latter has since adopted the former's digging habit so now I have 2 diggers. An Elizabethan collar helps in both cases but isn't enough. Coupled with the Elizabethan collar, this muzzle has foiled my terrier's digging and eating dirt activities. In addition, the muzzle protects/prevents the dogs from eating things that could be unsafe for them which is helpful on walks and for protecting them from garbage thrown over the fence into the yard. (Happened a couple of times quite a while ago, still a constant worry where my animals are concerned.)

Wow, this muzzle is the best I've found. My 10lb (with a size 1) pomeranian wasn't able to take it off!!! It was a Lil big but it's okay it's only for momentarily usage. Just what I needed so he can finally get his nails trim. It took a few tries to adjust it to his size and for him to get use to it, at first he hated that thing he would move around like a wild fish, second time he moved less like a fish and was more calmed. I've only using it for 10min every 3 day until he feels fully comfortable with it. . It came in very quickly with my other items I ordered (book and shampoo) in a box. I would Def recommend this.
