Got this to use as a backstop in our batting cage. Have pitched balls up to 65 MPH at it and it is doing a good job of protecting the net. Also like that it has the strike zone marked to help us set up the pitching machine. It was very easy to setup and adjust.

I got this for my kiddo who loves to pitch, and via the description I somehow thought there would be a hole in the rectangle that he's aiming for. It's solid. So although you could attach it to a net saver, the balls will just bounce off the vinyl. My kid likes it, and it frees me up to play catch with my younger kid while my older kid is practicing pitching. I think I'll be using it more and more this summer when the kids are out of school. It's a VERY big vinyl backstop (reason for the 4 instead of 5 stars) - almost to where it's hard to reach the top to make an accurate strike zone if you are not very tall. It's also just huge and kinda awkward to fold up after use. I'm using it for elementary aged/ little league aged kids, so maybe it would work better for adults to use for practice. We'll keep using it, but I'm getting it it's own stringed bag to store it in and make transporting it easier. ... show more

My 12 year old son likes the graphic on this. I think the picture is a good draw for kids that want to add to their outdoor baseball gear collection. He had a strike zone that cracked, so he removed the cracked shield and used the frame to hang this on. It's pretty big so he had to rig it to fit, but he made it work and now uses it with all friends when they play whiffle ball. It also fits on the various stands with nets that he has, so the kids use it to practice throwing. They said they like using it so as far as I'm concerned it's a win! ... show more

I like this BaseGoal vinyl backstop. I have a kid who is just getting into playing baseball and wants to learn the pitches and gain some control over his throws. If you have two trees or poles less than about 8 feet apart, this backstop is effective and very easy to use. I mounted ours on our backyard swing mount, which is two 6x6 posts and a horizontal metal bar above them. The straps on the backstop can be adjusted for length and clipped to themselves, making it easy to mount and adjust the backstop. My kid is having fun throwing at the strike zone, although I think it would be best for me to lower the backstop to a little below ground level so they can target their pitches to the lower height their peers will be batting from. All-in-all, this product gets my recommendation! I just wish my dog would stop barking at it... ... show more

I coach a rec center youth team and our league only allows us to have one, 1 hour practice per week. As you can imagine this leaves really no time to work with pitchers. I ordered this catcher backdrop and hung it in our gym. Our pitchers are able to come in on their own and throw at the backdrop and work on their accuracy. Training a youngster to throw where they are aiming, or pitching will be easier with this backstop. The person aims, throws the ball and it will bounce and return the ball to the person who threw it. It also could be used for batting practice as a hind catcher stopping balls behind the batter.

We hung this up on our sock net using zip ties through the grommets. The corner straps were too long for the size of our net, but that is not the fault of the product itself and it can be overcome by using the zip ties like we did. It hangs up easily and provides my son with a great strike zone to practice his pitching when there is no one around to catch for him. The material is very study and should hold up well with the abuse it is going to take. I also think it should do well being left out in the elements. ... show more
