I am working on building out my cocktail setup and thought these lowball glasses would be a great addition. Full disclosure, I got them for free through the Vine program, so I didn’t pay close attention to the brand name or the specifics of the glasses. They are Bartesian brand, a company which has created pod-based cocktail machines, like a Nespresso for cocktails. As a result, the glasses have a large BARTESIAN logo cut into the side and a big B on the bottom. I think that even if I had a Bartesian machine and was keen on the brand, I would not want a big logo on my glasses; the focus should be the drink, not some brand. Even worse in the context that I don’t have the machine and don't care about the brand! The diamond etched pattern is fine. The cuts are very rounded, not sharp and crisp like my mother’s crystal. Whether this is good or not is probably personal taste. In terms of function, the glasses hold liquids. They knock that part out of the park. So, from the perspective of one who is not a Bartist with a Bartesian machine, I give them a mid 3 stars: functional, reasonably attractive, but with big logos.

These glasses are high-quality. The glass is beautiful and the pattern is well-made. It's perfect for old fashions or other low ball cocktails. When you open the box the glasses are sitting in a form-fitted holder with a satin-like lining. It is a very impressive presentation. It seems durable because the glass is very thick. It makes for a high class, great tasting drink. I deducted a star for two reasons: 1. The name of the company is on the glass in an unsubtle way. It's right there on the outside of the glass with no attempt at being discreet. Branding, sure, I get it - but the glass would've looked much more high-class without it. There is also the letter B monogrammed on the bottom of the glass, also for the company name. The bottom would've been a better place for the company name if they insisted on branding. It just takes away from an otherwise great glass. 2. An issue that hurt the presentation incredibly - the glasses were dirty. They had something that looked like caked-on dust in a weird fracture pattern. At first, I thought it was a flaw within the glass because it made the whole cup look hazy. Then when I realized it wipes away with some scrubbing, I thought maybe they were used. The pattern appears to be random and not something like a lipstick rim or fingerprints. So my guess is that something strange is happening in manufacturing. I can't be certain, but if I had sent this to someone as a gift I would be embarrassed. I tried to capture it in the images. Washing it was a successful remedy, so it wasn't a glass defect. Hopefully mine was an anomaly.

These Bartesian lowball glasses are every bit as beautiful and practical as the tall ones from the same company. They arrived securely packaged in an elegant box, which would make them a perfect gift. The glasses have a nice weight to it, with a solid base that feels really sturdy and comfortable in the hand. The etched design adds just the right amount of visual interest without being flashy, and the small detail of the company name under the rim is such a nice touch. I’ve been using them for everything from juice in the morning to a cocktail in the evening, and they work perfectly for both. They’re dishwasher safe, which makes cleanup easy, though I usually pop them on the top rack to be safe. Overall, they’ve quickly become my go-to short glasses, and I honestly wish they came in sets of 4 or 6.

These lowball glasses are great for whiskeys and bourbons! Can do simple small cocktails in them as well. They come well packaged, and should arrive safely with the materials formed around the glasses in the box. It even has a nice magnetic lid so you can keep them stored in the box when not in use! The design is very aesthetically pleasing for the most part. If you are a "don't show me your brand name" person that is etched into the glass fairly noticeably at the top, so that might be a detractor. I'm not trying to show off with my glassware so it's fine by me. Easy to hold, these would work well for a party or for just enjoying a taste at the end of the day. Seems like they are well made and I expect them to hold up well over time. Overall, really nice glasses, I'm glad to have them for my home use!
