My older kitty is one of those persnickety cats that is not about to let you use a brush on him. So we finally decided to try a glove. This one surprisingly worked really well at getting loose fur out of his plush coat. It didn't pull on him, but acted like it just felt like I was petting him. He actually wanted me to keep using it. It has the plastic nubs sticking out to grab those hairs. My only problem with the glove was being able to remove the fur from the glove. I've used this glove on an orange cat that sheds a lot. It definitely did a good job of getting loose hairs off, but rather than clumping up on the glove in a way that was easy to remove, I found that the loose hairs largely fell off the glove and onto the floor, though some stuck randomly all over the glove. Maybe the cat's fur was too short for it to clump up, but I haven't had this problem before. That being said, it's not a huge deal, I'll just be sure to only use it outside where it's not going to require a vacuum to clean up after. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I have a pair of the original grooming gloves that are now several years old. I’m not sure that this glove will last as long as those first ones (and they are still usable!) but this glove does the job. The original ones are coated with the rubber throughout the entire hand area whereas this one has the rubber parts “glued” on to the glove. This is why I’m not sure they will be as long lasting as it seems as though it might be possible for the rubber to come loose. I hope I am wrong though and time will tell! As you can see from my video the glove works well on my mare that is starting to shed. I use it in a currying motion and it picked up her loose hairs. They came off the glove easily with a shake. This horse appreciates a good grooming and enjoyed the little points on the glove. I do have two other horses that are Thoroughbreds and they found it to be too rough for their sensitive skin. One is ok with the original grooming gloves I have and the other one doesn’t like those either. The old gloves are more worn down so are not as “sharp” as new ones. It is interesting that this glove only comes in a right hand style. While I do use the right one the most, there are times I like to use both hands, such as on the legs. I think it would be a good idea for the company to continue to sell the glove individually but to also make a left hand one. After all, there shouldn’t be discrimination against lefties! Plus as I said there are times I like to have a glove on each hand. Overall not a bad glove at all, I gave it 4 stars rather than 5 due to thinking it may not give the years of service other gloves on the market do, but if I’m proven wrong I’ll come back and raise that to a 5! ... show more

Our youngest kitty is extremely scared of the brush, but absolutely loves to be pet.All.Of.The.Time. Although he does occasionally seem a little wary of this grooming glove, he will usually let me pet him with it, and he seems to love it. The grooming glove doesn't work as great as I had hoped, but considering I could get zero fur off of my scaredy cat with a regular cat brush, it's still very helpful. ... show more

My cats definitely like the feel of this brush, it's like a massage; however, the shedding hair does not stick to the dog brush glove as claimed. There is a bit of static, and the fur flies everywhere. I have to do a two-step brushing, one with the glove and almost simultaneously I have to use another brush to absorb the loose fur. Also, the glove is not a one size fits all. It happens to fit my hand perfectly, but definitely not my husband's hand. Overall, I do like it, but it is a bit overpriced. ... show more

The nubs on this glove are exceptionally grabby. My cat purred and moved toward the gloves after his perfunctory sniffing ritual. My puppy, on the other hand, sniffed the gloves, and as soon as they moved a couple of inches across his back, he dived under the bed. He stayed there for almost 1/2 hour to fully express his disapproval. While the gloves work on my cat, I'm sticking with my dog's regular brush and comb, for now. ... show more

I have used gloves like these before. They don't work well for removing the undercoat. For that reason, I don't like them for dealing with cat fur, but I use these for problem animals like my husband's grumpy lop eared bunny. Normy is 6 years old now and sheds a lot. He also hates having tufts plucked from him, so I used this glove on him daily to take as much fur off as will come easily. His bonded bunny takes care of the rest since she constantly grooms him. As for this particular one, I like that the rubber knobby sections are not as thick as my other glove like this. It feels more flexible and easier to use. Although I wish this was a left handed one, but I am ambidextrous so it's not a deal breaker. I also tried it out on my basenji dog who doesn't have a thick fur coat. At first, he was a bit anxious about it, but he quickly realized what a good thing it was and got upset when I stopped. He isn't in a big shedding time, but I am curious how it would handle his fur then. Clearly though, he loved the massage aspects, so it was a winner with him. Hope this helps! ... show more

As pictured I really like this glove. I had a mitt with a draw string at the cuff that I have never been able to get to work right because my hands were too small. This glove is perfect. It stays in place and allows me to gently brush my dogs and cats without having to fuss with the movement of the glove. My dogs don't find it as annoying as they did the other one I had. While there is a lot of elasticity in the glove itself I don't think it would work well for people with large hands. My husband couldn't get his XL hand into it. ... show more
