Starting your home bar can be an intimidating prospect. Knowing what you need and working within the average person's budget and space often means everything in your bar needs to be versatile and easy to care for without too many niche gadgets. I was very pleased with Bare Barrel's compact and sleek barware set. I loved the stainless steel selection of tools without unnecessary frills, who needs a jigger with an awkward handle? Each item is sturdy and functional, perfect for home bar use. I was delighted to see the attention to detail such as a more ergonomic muddler with a textured bottom, caps for pour spouts and a spiral handled bar spoon. Details that are often overlooked in mass produced sets, but can really make a difference in everyday use. Bare Barrel has a clear view of aesthetics, offering a range of metallic colorways and a coordinated, compact wooden caddy that makes storing and pulling out tools easy and efficient. They have also clearly understood their market for the cocktail enthusiast and home bar builder through not only a solid set of tools but a straightforward and concise cocktail recipe card booklet, an extra thoughtful touch; especially when gifting. The recipes were a core catalog of classics to give someone new confidence in an approachable way. Room for improvement? Always; but nothing that detracts from the pleasure of using this set but is more aligned with personal preference. Working in the industry and now entertaining frequently at home, I would love to see an insulated Boston shaker version and a tighter coil on the spring of the Hawthorne strainer for a tighter fit and for a finer strain on foamy cocktails like sours and fizzes, but these would be enhancements and not a reason to overlook this great set!

This mixing set is so great. Not only is it beautiful and well organized but it’s high quality. The spouts pour smoothly, the shaker is nice and durable, but my favorite part is the strainer and how lightweight it is compared to a lot of the longer handled ones, so it’s easier to use and hold against the shaker. Great set, worth it! If you go to their instagram they also have so many recipe ideas for you to use and beautiful tutorials in addition to the set of recipe cards that come with the set.

Not a huge fan of the wine key, and it could use another jigger (lil measuring tool) that goes at least to one n a half ounces. For the sake of convenience as a bartender. But everything else is amazing! Extremely well-made, feels light yet durable, and the shaker gets a real nice seal without being hard to pop since it has a slight curve on the lip of the small half. Absolutely love the color too! Included a gold ice scooper (sold separately) for comparison. 😁👌

The media could not be loaded. This is a very high-quality bartender set and a good value. The Boston Shaker gets the cocktails REALLY cold and is easy to separate. The Hawthorne strainer fits perfectly on the shaker, and it does not leak. I like the rolled edges of the jigger and I have not experienced rust with anything. I especially like the cute and stylish stand that looks like a crate, it is so different from anything else that I've seen on the market. Everything also sits securely in the stand and does not fall over when you move it. Fun Craft Cocktails approved! Buy It!

If you’re looking for a quality bartending tool kit for your home bar, you won’t be disappointed in Bare Barrel! Overall, I think this set is very high-quality, beautiful, and well crafted. I have been using the shaker, strainer, muddler and pour spouts for a few months now and all are still looking like new! My only (small) complaint is that the jigger that’s included is not very practical for my uses as it is only a maximum of 1 ounce jigger. If both ends were twice as big (2 ounce/1 ounce) I would be using it nonstop. Where the jigger lacks, however, the muddler makes up for it! It feels good in the hand and is long enough to muddle inside of Shaker tins. I have included the tools in many of my instagram posts, as it is gorgeous enough to add value to the cocktail photos!
