My husband brought these for when he goes hunting and he loves them. He said it has a very good long range where he is able to communicate with everyone so that when he's in the woods he can hear where everyone is and what's going on when he's not close to the truck. So now we get to go on long hikes, and we can leave one at home and keep in touch so that we know we have someone listening for us in case we need help. He said he has recommended this to everyone he hunts with.

cheap price, but decent as starter ham radio. you can listen without a license, but get your license if you want to transmit. two longer antennas are inside the box under the packaging, but don't seem to be much better than standard rubber ducky. functioning as expected. chargers work too. thanks.

Great product easy to use takes some time but well worth the investment. Have sets for family and friends around the country. Great piece of mind if cell service goes down. Recommend the longer whip antenna.

Although it has all the features you need for repeaters, I already have a handheld for that. I use this radio for simplex (146.52) while I’m on the road. It works well going cross country.
