These are just wonderful, the set is very well build, the materials are of very good quality, you can drop it on any hard surface from 1,5meters without being too worry, battery still has 4/5 lines after 1 week of using it and testing it.Very loud sound 2km in city limited by fear of don't disturb any other public services aside police and SS. Programable by its own software that's very intuitive and by CHIRP, has its own CHIRP cable and charger US/EU.Manually programming it gives you an ideea that how quicly you can customize such a device even without any backgroun in this domain. For me, reading the Manual of AR 152 and customizing it software on my PC and manual took me 2-3 hours. He seems bulky but i didn't see any other handheld station of 12.000mAh. A very nice present for my birthday.

Purchased these radios to use during a group field training event. Utilized this radio, integrated with tactical helmet arc rail headsets. Product came with easy-to-follow instructions and provided clear comms for the training event!

I am pleased, two fantastic radios at a good price. These radios are big. They have a huge battery life between charges, the screen is big and well back lit, the buttons are large making it easier to operate with gloves if need be. I will say that it may not be a best radio for everyone but in my environment of extreme cold temperatures and a history of extended power outages these features could be very useful. For the urbanites that want a smaller lighter handset that is light and easily carried and are not concerned about not having power to charge it every 8 hours. Go check out the other Baofeng radios. They offer many options. I would recommend this product if your needs are similar to mine.

1st thing is I have had the radio less than a day. I plan to update this review as I use the radios more. Very first thing you should be aware of is the fact the radio will not receive any signals on VHF while the charger is plugged in. Not quite sure if this is a problem with this radio specifically or a design issue. I suspect the issue will happen on UHF as well. I will update as soon as I find a UHF station to listen to. The receive sensitivity seems decent on VHF so far as the lo al 2m repeater sounds just as good as it does on my HT1250. No transmit audio report yet. Belt clip option on the battery would have been nice but I am aware that this radio would normally be placed in a pouch on a vest. Programming seems simple enough. More to come.

Easy to operate, made of cast aluminum so not made cheap. Good price. Great for emergencies. Easy to program local relays with chirp program. Has PC attachment for chirp program for saving frequencies
