These are quite nice and great quality! I like the stain however, I'll probably will need to add some poly to seal the shelves. The brackets are pretty good and I really like that they allow for micro-adjustments. Unfortunately, I failed to fully read the instructions for the smart brackets and couldn't figure out how to adjust the bar the shelf slides over and I ended up widening the hole a little to get the shelf on. The handwritten note is a nice touch for sure! I chose to purchase these once I realized they were just $15 more than the materials to build my own floating shelves. I figured the extra money would be worth what I'd save in time and labor. But probably should've just built custom shelves to get as these are not very deep. Like all the other reviews say they can be a challenge to install because if you place the the bracket even slightly off, the shelf won't slide on easily. I was able to get the 1st shelf on easily but the second one I had the issue. Overall they are really lovely hardwood shelves and would recommend ... show more

I had moved into a new place and the office I had before had these massive bookcases that would no longer fit into the new space. After looking at numerous options for space saving shelving, I stumbled across the BAOBAB floating shelves. As you can see from the photos, I have quite a few heavy books, collectables and plants I needed space for. These shelves are the perfect addition to my new office and, with the right anchors or stud placement, they can hold some serious weight. The shelves in the photos have been up for about 2 years and, even with about 30 lbs of books on some of them, there isn't even a millimeter of droop on any of them. One of the best features is the adjustable hardware that is used to hold the shelves up. Even the best of us can be a few millimeters off when drilling. So, having the ability to adjust the hardware up, down and side-to-side after they are in place is brilliant. I have purchased them in the 16", 20" and 24" options and definitely purchase more, if I need to expand shelving elsewhere in my home. ... show more

I’m not usually moved to write reviews, but these shelves absolutely deserve it. These days it feels like so many products are cheaply made, so when I come across something this well done, I have to say something. I installed this set in our bathroom and they look fantastic – warm, solid, and high-end instead of the flimsy “fake wood” look you see everywhere. Solid wood really makes a difference; the grain and finish give the whole room an upgraded, custom feel. The packaging was the first sign that this company cares. Everything was wrapped and protected so well that it honestly felt like opening a carefully prepared gift, not just another random Amazon box. You can tell they take pride in their product. Installation was straightforward. The instructions are clear, simple, and easy to follow, even if you’re not especially handy. I had them up and level in no time with no confusion or guesswork.
