These loafers are a very beautiful blue velvet. The bow makes them look rather dressy. I chose them primarily to fancy up blue jeans outfits, though I will also wear them with skirts and dresses. I took off one star because of the fit. I first ordered a size 8. I am between a 7.5 and 8, though as I have gotten older (now 70), I find that I usually need an 8. The size 8 loafers were so narrow as to be unwearable. I re-ordered in a size 8.5. They are still a little narrow. I am hoping that they will stretch. I am going to have to take the shoes to a cobble to have heel pads inserted. Right now, if I walk in the 8.5 shoes, my heels slip up and out. I would really love to know why so many shoe manufacturers make their shoes so darn narrow! ... show more

These are super fun and classy, just as pictured. They are not slick on the soles which is fabulous. They feel like they will last a long time. My only slight disappointment is one of the bows flips up on one end and I constantly have to try and bend it down.

They look good on me! I did get compliments when wearing them. They're comfy overall eventhough they slightly gap on the side when I walk. I wore them only once with socks. Hopefully, they don't stretch out in further wears.
