I found the clasp to be very secure and I am a very active person. I shake hands all day and I travel often. I take it off frequently especially going through the TSA checkpoints at airports. very nice heavy steel bracelet...one problem is not the clasp...it's the link it has to lock into...the link flops around...link is an odd shape...I'll probably return it for that reason....bad closure design....makes putting on bracelet a pill
