I fish a lot in an artificial reservoir and it is almost always complete mud water so bright colors or high contrast like black or white are my go to colors. I saw these and figured I like glow sticks….that is a neat lure and bought one. When I went to use it around dusk in my kayak I noticed the first benefit,I could see my lure and not hook myself when in kayak. The first thing I did was troll around with it where I just let line out and then paddle in long straight lines around the lake. Caught first stripped bass in about 20 minutes and another about 15 minutes after that. Caught four fish total the two strippers and when I switched to casting towards shore from kayak I caught a perch and a baby pike. So was very happy with lure and bought two more in other colors. The replacement glow sticks are way over priced for how many you get so just buy them as regular glow sticks, I was able to find perfect length very easy but the correct width was harder so I just bought some that were a little skinny and gave them a wrap or two of clear tape to bulk up the thickness and get them to stay in place. About 75 of the sticks cost around $5 free shipping from country of origin if you know what I mean. ... show more
