  • Perfect Fit for 2006 Toyota Camry LE 2.4L — Must-Know Installation Tips
This serpentine belt was an exact fit for my 2006 Toyota Camry LE 2.4L (4-cylinder). Quality seems great, and it runs smooth — no squeals, no issues. But more importantly, here are some key tips that will save you time, frustration, and possibly expensive mistakes: 1- Don’t use a breaker bar. Most are 1/2-inch drive and way too bulky for the tight space near the tensioner. Even if you can get it on, removing the socket becomes a real struggle. Use a dedicated serpentine belt tool — they’re slim and purpose-built for this job. 2-Avoid 12-point sockets. These can easily round off the tensioner bolt. Use a 6-point socket instead to keep a firm grip and avoid damaging the bolt or tensioner. Replacing a broken tensioner is costly and time-consuming. 3-Remove the front passenger-side wheel. Jack up the car and take the wheel off. This gives you much better access and a clear line of sight to work. It makes the entire job way easier, especially when routing the belt and accessing the tensioner. 4-Install the belt in the correct order. Wrap it around all the pulleys including the alternator first, and save the water pump pulley (the smooth one) for last. That’s the easiest place to slide the belt on once you relieve tension. Trying to stretch it over the alternator last will only frustrate you — it's too tight and awkward. Follow these steps, and this job becomes much smoother, even if you’re not a professional.Overall, great product and a smooth install when done right. ... show more

  • So far so good
Before installing it on my 4 cylinder 2004 Camry I compared it to the old belt. It was a little longer but it took me lots of efforts to fit the belt over the alternator pulley. No problems after installation though. The engine is quiet. The OEM belt lasted me over 120000 miles. It was still good, only it developed many cracks on the ribs and I decided to change the belt to a new one. We will see how long this one will last. ... show more
