I like this a lot. I've only had a hassock with a tray to use for drinks, snacks, etc., and to keep my myriad of remotes in one place. Inevitably I'd put the most current remote on the arm or on the other side of the sofa and I'd lose it or it would fall on the floor. Apparently there are two different colors and two different styles. Since I chose black it comes with just the single-section removable tray. I have tried to slide the tray but found it a little difficult to move. I think it may become easier with time in the case that I want more room. The backing on the bottom and the "sides" that drape down over the sofa arm are of a material studded with rubbery dots, and create a texture which keeps the tray nicely in place. The sides are genius, in that they perfectly mold to the sofa arm shape. Love that! This is very simple and utilitarian, yet elegant in style, i.e., it doesn't jump up and say "Hey, I'm a snack tray!". Very pleased with this item, I'll get a lot of use out of it, so a very worthwhile purchase. I think this would also make a great gift.

If you need a big tray consider something else. But for $20 after 40% off coupon, this packs a lot of value. Easily holds a beverage and a phone or snack. Tray can slide out if you prefer to use two surfaces. Rubberized tambour style slats have good grip and it helps if your couch arm is wider than the base of the tray proper. The black finish was nicely applied and the tray slid easily in its tracks. Also available in natural blonde finish. Unfortunately, as packed, the tray can move during shipping. The post office may have jarred the box enough for the tray to strike the little strip that is lightly tacked and glued to the edge as a stopper. So it popped off. Surprise, surprise! Rather than return it, it was easy enough to restore to its former glory with sandpaper, clamps and glue. The seller could secure the tray better and avoid this issue if they find it's a problem for them and their customers. Not a replacement for a "TV table," but a slick little tray system for very little $$.

This good-looking bamboo armrest tray looks nice and is well-made. I am happy that they did not paint over the beautiful color of natural bamboo. An anti-slip layer covers its bottom to increase its stability. If you are a person who cares for the environment, you should look into buying products made of bamboo. Bamboo reaches maturity much faster than trees, and people can harvest it without killing the plant; it releases more oxygen and absorbs more CO2 than trees. Bamboo has high tensile strength and high elasticity; it is sturdy and stronger than many types of wood. This bamboo armrest has a tray, with trim high enough to keep things from sliding out, that is removable. The anti-slip layer is peeling a tiny bit, like 1/16 inch, at a few places, which is not bad at all; however, the concern is whether it will stabilize or get worse and peel further. If the peeling worsens, I will revise my review, but for now, this very nice armrest tray deserves a 4-star rating.

Arrived quickly and in good condition. This bamboo sofa/armchair tray is just what the doctor ordered. Who else has always hated to be watching your favorite show, and had to keep leaning forward to your coffee table to grab a sip of coffee or soda? Well, this beauty solves that problem very well. It sits on the couch arm, with drapes on the side that hold it in place. Large enough to hold a drink, snack, plus your remote, there's no more leaning forward when everything is within arm's reach. Someone should have thought of this sooner, and we'll be getting one for the other end of the couch.

I have a regular chair arm table, but I like to sit in my recliner and pay bills, work on my arts and crafts, etc., and while it's convenient for holding a small plate or a stable drink, it's not great for holding things like sewing scissors, pencils, reading glasses... This tray solves that problem, and if I do spill something, it's contained in the tray which can be easily removed for cleaning. I can also slide it partway, and then I have room for my project and a mug of tea. It's the little things sometimes!

This is wonderful for our square-armed chairs. The centerpiece is fairly narrow, so I think it would work OK on a round arm as well. The box in the middle slides in and out, though we don't really use it in that way. It's good if something is crumby or spills. It hugs the couch well and is very grippy so it won't slide. We love it!

We got this for one end of our sectional where it's not really possible to put an end table, and it works great as a place to put a mug or glass. You do (obviously) "lose" the arm rest, but that beats balancing coffee mugs on the white sofa.
