I bought this four bottle wine carrier bag for one reason, as extra protection to transport four bottles of very rare wines with us on an RV across country to a new home. We don’t drink anymore so these are more collectables than drinkables. Maybe we’ll find someone who is looking for one of these someday. Being a one time thing I just wanted to be sure they were safe from breaking accidentally. This case was perfect for that, which really makes it perfect for any situation where you want to carry four bottles from point A to point B. HOW SAFE If you are just carrying the bottles to a backyard barbeque I think these would be sturdy enough, the padding isn’t extremely thick but it does keep the bottles from clanking together. The bottom has sufficient support without sagging and the top zippers closed. The space from the bottom to the top is sufficient for red and white wine bottle. Because of what I was trying to do I put thin foam around each bottle and a layer of half inch foam on the bottom, then packed any loose spaces with newspapers. Then I packed the whole thing in a corrugated box with protection all around it. Did I mention that these were some pretty rare vintages from back in the 70s? CAUTION I want to make it clear that I took a gamble and ordered a previously returned case, taking the chance that it would work for my needs, and I saved half off doing that, so I’m not going to complain about any issues. There was only one, apparently the previous purchaser tore the zipper pull off and threw it in the box before they returned it. No worries, the top is equipped with tandem zippers and one pull handle is all you need, In fact I think it is more convenient and maybe slightly safer. But that being said, I was surprised how heavy four full bottles are, a word of caution – I would not trust the little thin handle, the neck strap or even the zipper. This is something I would advise carrying with your arm around it. This bag is adequate to do what it says it will do, hence the rating, but it’s not the strongest thing around. YES NO MAYBE Wine bottles can be tricky to take with you to an event, especially if you are taking several. Because of the weight I would not recommend getting a case designed for more than four bottles. This one looks attractive – I got the feathers model – is well made (I think the zipper pull was user error) and definitely stylish. Would I pay full price? Not if I don’t have to, but I can’t say it’s overpriced. I think this one is a good choice.

I used this product to carry four bottles of wine on a car trip. I put an ice pack on top of the bottles and could zip the top. I prefer a four bottle carrier due to the weight of the 750 ml bottles. The divider has some flexibility so wider bottles can fit with skinnier bottles.

I gave this to my Mom for Mother’s Day. I like that you can adjust the interior dividers. It’s great to have options- take a bottle of wine and some and crackers for happy hour. It also works great to pack dog supplies and wine when traveling.

Purchased this bag to carry whiskey to bottle share events. The bag is nice and study and holds bottles of all shapes and heights. The outside is canvas so the colors are not very vivid but it looks nice. This bag will hold any type of bottle from wine bottles to whiskey bottles.
