We went to Finland and weather was cold. -18 Celsius 8 in the morning. We put this as our middle layer and worked great. I wouldn't go on hike with out something over these pants though. Their shell feels thin. If poked by a branch or something like that, could puncture it!

I was looking for a nice base layer to put under wind pants for my trip to Iceland. I really was skeptical about buying these pants, but I am glad I did. I tried them out a few times this past week walking and riding a snowmobile and the temp outside was 18F-25F. I also sat in a chilly arena watching curling for several hours. Both active and sedentary activities, I was warm and comfortable. I have washed and dried them already and had no issues. I bought a small, but should have gotten a medium, as the length was a bit short and they are snug with jeans under them. That was my mistake. Otherwise, great product.

I hate being cold in winter. These are so warm. I wear a base legging, these pants then a ski pant for winter activity. Only thing is they fit poorly. Too short. Calf is too tight and hip area is too big and baggy. I am not wearing them to be fashionable so that’s not as important.

Wow, these were a lifesaver at the first lacrosse game of the season! 33 & windy! It was miserable…but these pants helped a ton. They aren’t big & bulky, so they fit right into my tall UGG boots.

bought for me then bought another for wife. If you are planning rugged uses, I suggest a rain shell as the thin outer nylon probably would tear or get holes if not careful, but then again, this thinness is part of why the pants are so light and comfy
