I have a few of these from prior year(s) where they were mid-rise and I don't mind high-rise although I also don't find these high-rise shorts to rise much higher than the mid-rise. I love the pockets on both sides but the one on the waistband has gotten thicker since the prior versions so you can see it a bit on your tummy which I don't love. My weight has fluctuated a little the past few years but these shorts always fit great and look flattering. Personally I do not like the materials used for any of the colors or patterns except the light grey and charcoal grey. Those are like stretchy cotton blend which is comfortable for lounging and working out. The material for the other colors is a cold, shiny, bathing suit-like material that feels gross and shows spots once I start sweating. On one hand I think they're a little over priced at $20 but on the other they fit great, they've held up well (washing warm gentle and air drying flat on rack) and I did come back for more... It would be AWESOME if they could make other colors in the fabric/material used for the charcoal and light grey!!

Bought these to go under casual, daily-wear dresses (at 51 I'm just sick of wearing jeans every day!) so I can do housework and walk the dog and such and not worry about being totally "ladylike." BUT, they are SO comfortable and cute, I'm wearing them under a tunic length top and feeling fabulous wishing I had somewhere to go, LOL! Husband gave two big thumbs up, too! Glad I got another color coming. Those who said to size up were right for me, thank you. My waist is 23", hip 34" so an XS should have worked, but the S is perfect. No sagging or gaping, just total comfort and chic style. Almost makes me want to do yoga! LOVE LOVE LOVE the two side pockets. My phone fits perfectly (iPhone SE) as do my keys and/or credit card, license, etc. Ingenious design. Fabric is substantial (not flimsy or see-through at all), great feel. 10 stars! (Pictured with "LEACOOLKEY Elastic Skinny Waist Belt for Dress Women Men No Show Stretchy Thin Belt for Jeans Pants Flat Buckle" over my tunic shirt which I also love. I got the smallest size that says it fits 25" - 30". So I have to assume it would be tight like many reviews say, but since my waist is 23" it fits perfectly.) ETA: Got the coral pair today and noticed the waistband pocket! Took a photo looking down into the pocket I'm holding open with my fingers. LOVE the color and the fit is exactly the same as the black.

I love the quality of these shorts. The material is strong and quite thick. They would have been comfortable if I had ordered up a size. I purchased 5 pair of these Baleaf shorts a year ago and need new replacements as I wear them daily! Unfortunately these run smaller. I generally wear a 12-14 and buy the Large. I have not changed in body size or weight (5'4" - 155lbs) but these are really tight. The waist cuts in after wearing them a coupe of hours. Since I still love the style and quality - I'll consider that $30 a learning experience and just buy more in a larger size.

Very happy with purchase. Ordered another item from same company in different size, and am a bit confused about the inconsistency in the sizes. But thanks to other reviews I guessed right. Ordered this in a Small and it's perfect. Ordered "BALEAF Women's 8" High Waist" in a Medium and it's actually a tad tight but OK. I'm 5'6" and 134 lbs, with a little tummy fat and these are perfect and super comfortable. Fabric is also thick enough to be discreet. I do have maybe thinner legs so if your legs are really muscular these might be tight but for me they are an excellent fit and I ordered another pair.

I got these in black and purple, and I love them. I’m short, 5’2 and 170 lbs, and usually shorts, fit me too long, to my knees, or too short, and I get chub rub. But these shorts fit perfect links that I can do a 5 mile run or do yoga in and they don’t creep up. I’m getting more!!! The one downside is the pockets. I have an iPhone 13 mini with a case and it just barely fits in the pocket. I have to turn it and put the phone in sideways when I run so it doesn’t slip out, but if you have a Phone bigger than a mini, I wouldn’t use the pocket unless you’re going for a light walk.

These shorts are high in the waist and do not ride up in the legs - just the right amount of spandex - I have several pair now that I use under my sun dresses and just around the house with a t-shirt on the weekends. I am 66, retired, and petite in size. I will share that I have washed mine several times now and they have not failed me yet - I wash them in warm water, delicate cycle, medium spin and dry on a low heat part of the way then hang them to dry the rest of the way before folding and putting them away.

So comfortable and flattering! They do ride up though so I did have to constantly bring them back down so if that’s a deal breaker for you… but I loved them! I just ordered another pair! I never thought I could pull off a biker shorts look but here we are ;) I love them though!! Best biker shorts I’ve ever purchased. Please don’t discontinue! Note: they stain pretty easily, I don’t know how it even happened but the top of my shorts are all white with no possible explanation.

I bought these to wear under dresses. With the intent to both have clothes for better and in case the dress/skirt flies up. The shorts are VERY soft and comfortable. They have two pockets on the legs for phone, key, money... and ensures smooth lines under clothing. GREAT! The only negative is that the legs ride up to the crotch. I keep pulling them down.
