I wasn't sure whether to buy the name brand product or a knock-off, but I decided to take a chance and fork over nearly double the price of the competition. I don't think it's an unfair price for a product like this, especially when quality materials can make a big difference. I was not disappointed. It definitely feels very premium. The silicone covers over the cast iron weights are smooth and solid. It has a comfortable fit not matter how tight I make it. And the velcro is incredibly strong (perhaps TOO strong). The product looks good both on and off the body, and it folds up to fit easily wherever I would want to put it. My only complaint would be that for larger wrists the spacing between the iron weights might become uneven and therefore difficult to balance—the first 4 weights on the bangle can not be moved very far apart, unlike the other 4. However, for my needs it just takes about a minute to balance the weights evenly and I am good to go. It is not exactly easy to put on or take off, but with a little practice it can be done on the first try. BTW, you want to buy the pack of two. I wasn't sure whether that meant two pairs or one. It means one pair. Not sure why someone would want one bangle for nearly the same price as two, but for some reason that option exists. ... show more

    • Why I chose Bala over the one w sand bags.

The media could not be loaded. My doctor recommended high impact walking for bone density. Another doctor had suggested using weights for that goal. Bala costs more than the knockoffs but I preferred the band be same color as the weights instead of black. I tried a different brand with interchangeable sand bags up to five lbs but realized that I probably wasn’t going to be switching out the sand bags. Also, it was bulkier than the Bala. I opted for Bala because I felt that I would be more inclined to wear something Inconsideref more aesthetically pleasing than one that is more versatile 1-5 lbs. I intend to wear the Bala while out and about doing chores and running errands. The Bala ankle weights (1 lb each) are slimmer and fit better. I have narrow ankles. I can adjust them very easily. I bought the dusty blue to wear with jeans and black athletic wear. Turns out they also look good with aqua/teal. ... show more

I love these bangle weights! The green color is super soft and pretty like a sage or succulent green, very gentle on the eyes. They’ve been great for working out, especially when I broke a finger and couldn’t hold weights in my hand for months. Good adjustment and makes for more versatile home workouts. These weights are expensive So it's kind of a boogie thing. But they really have great design. They are so easy to put on, keep on and take off. The velcro is strong and the weights are smooth. .y only issue is that i have since progressed way beyond 2 lb weights. I need 5 lbs.

I find it a bit difficult to balance these on both sides and strap them down comfortably (the weights slide around a bit on the ankle band). They also hurt my ankles after a little while because they push up against the bone. However, they get the job done and I think you’re paying more for the cute look than the function. ... show more

I’ve tried the cheaper version of these and they didn’t work well at all. Broke down and got the Bala, will never buy another brand again. Such a difference!
