I had been eyeing the Badu Gold Plate Bead Bracelet for a while and kept it in my cart until I finally decided to purchase it. When it arrived, it looked very nice at first, and I was excited to wear it. However, after just a couple of days, the gold color started to fade and the bracelet began to tarnish. I never wore it in water — no washing dishes, no bathing — so the fading happened simply from regular wear, skin oils, and sweat. They look great for a few weeks and then start to tarnish. I only wore them for a few hours at a time, never got them wet, and they were never exposed to chemicals, perfumes or creams. They are pretty when new but know they will not stay that shiny.

I bought these bracelets about a year ago. I bought the multi pack of different size beads in the gold color. I have really enjoyed these bracelets and have gotten a lot of use out of them over the last year. I didn’t wear them daily, but I wore them very frequently because they go with just about every outfit. I especially liked the size on these. I have very small wrists and tend to have difficulty with bracelets. These are small enough for a small wristed person to wear comfortably and not have them flop around or slide it down your hand. After a year of regular wear, they are just now starting to get reddish and brassy in spots. They still look good enough to wear, but I imagine the brassiness is going to start spreading and I will have to consider getting another set. Based on the price, the nice small size, and the very nice appearance of these bracelets I would buy them again in heartbeat. ... show more
