Badger Basket's Bench Top Toy Box is perfect for storing and organizing games, stuffed animals, blankets, and more! Aside from the packaging still being cleaned up almost a month later... I do like this box. So the grey doesn't match my Delta Children's grey items, so I would probably just have bought a white box if I had a do over but the open box price was very nice I do wish it had a spot for books but do like this box so I am upgrading this to a 4 star review. 5 stars if the grey matched the Delta Children's crib and dresser I had already purchased. I like this box because of the price I paid being an open box, there was a slight ding to a corner but nothing that will be a real issue. Plus it's a kids toy box, I anticipate this box being used and abused. The hinges were the only hard thing to really attach to assemble the box went together pretty fast. My real complaint would be the fact the grey does NOT match my Delta Children's grey crib and dresser. I should have gone with another toy box I only bought this because after asking a question it was supposed to match but they are different color grey. Durable box, and has a nice bench seat for my little one once he grows up more. However I would have paid the extra $20 to have a matching grey, or just gone with a white box. Obviously not worth trying to disassemble and return now, maybe if I had 6 months before the baby was born I would have. I am glad that I found this for a reduced price being an open box, very minor damage, but the styrofoam packaging was a nightmare, and I am still cleaning up "snowflakes" from it. ... show more

My son was ecstatic, he loves that he has his own box to store his toys (he shares a room with his brother). I love that it's sturdy enough that they can sit or stand on it. It was easy to put together, instructions not really necessary, which is good, because the instructions were not very instructive. The only part I needed help with was having the lid held in place while I screwed it in. As some other people have mentioned, it does smell weird, but it's not nearly as overpowering as some reviews make it sound. I was disappointed that about half of the compressed wood pieces were scuffed, but it was mostly on the inside (not visible), so I let it be. More frustrating to me is that, though they included one extra screw, three of the screw heads were not properly formed and could not be screwed in without stripping them, so I had to judiciously decide where it could handle having one less screw than prescribed. ... show more

I was pretty pleased with this purchase, especially considering some of the reviews. I purchased 3 white and 2 gray. Only had issue with 1 box where the hinge holes didn't line up properly, causing the lid to slightly scrape the side when opening/closing. It was an easy fix. Good quality toy box, nice and heavy. Materials were packaged well. Assembly was easy and only took about 30-45 mins per box, but we used a cordless screwdriver. A manual screwdriver would have taken 3 times as long. ... show more

Impossibly easy to put together. I was home sick on a particularly hard day dealing w hyperemesis and decided to put the toy box together, my 2 year old daughter semi helped and it was done in about 45 minutes between breaks. Doesn't hold a whole lot if most of your toys are large stuffies but I'm sure will feel much bigger when her toys get smaller and more complicated. ... show more

This toy box was relatively easy to put together however the screw holes to connect the lid to the hinges we’re both lined up correctly. I was able to somewhat fix the problem enough for me to not have to drill new holes. Over all though the toy box is very sturdy and worth the money.
