I really like this faucet cover. It feels reassuringly dense to protect from freezing temperatures. The loops sewn on to either side are incredibly helpful because the Velcro is very strong, and in my situation they enabled me to secure the cover to the wall. When we bought our house it had an exterior faucet with hot and cold taps, which is awesome until temperatures dip into the low twenties (Fahrenheit). I’ve never found an insulated cover designed for a faucet like this, and hardware store employees give me a disgusted look when I ask for solutions, and ask me why I would have such a thing on my house (not exactly helpful…). This came with metal zip ties, which is impressive but I ended up just using plastic zip ties. I don’t know how cold it has to get to make plastic zip ties shatter, but I’m glad I don’t live there. ... show more

Though this cover is a bit small for most backflow set-ups, it does come in a larger size which was not offered on the vine program. The canvas is heavy duty, and it has insulated layers inside. Strong Velcro makes securing the cover around unique piping setups easy, and metal tie wrap style connectors can also be secured through rivet holes making it very secure during strong winds.
