For reference I am 5'10" 195lbs. 34x32 pant size and about a size 42 jacket size. I ordered the size medium and the fit is good. I ordered the flecktarn camo. They are made like US style BDUs not the German style. The material is lightweight rip stop material. These will do better for warmer weather than standard BDUs but not as durable. They have a doubled elbow and adjustble cuffs on the sleeve and straps on the waist area. The pockets button with 2 buttons The coloring is the same as the post 2005 German Flecktarn pattern with the subdued red brown and muted pale green. I like that the material weight is lighter than the german surplus material and the standard US BDU, but it may not be for everyone. They should breath better than normal BDUs but longevity may suffer. The material has a very light DWR coating but I expect this will wash away quickly and you may need to wash with an aftermarket fabric treatment like Nikwax or GearAid. I think these are good for what they are if you know what you are purchasing and what to expect. ... show more

It is a replacement for my older issue one, and meets all specifications of my original issue one . I still use the originals for hunting. I still have a few pairs of original parts, as well as a couple of none camouflage sets that were issued years ago.

I bought it medium and it came hella large, its still good an all but even the actual german military flecktarn bdu only came in a couple days unlike this one, it took quite the amount of time for its arrival, it does work good for putting over jackets and vests pretty good though
