I don't usually write reviews but this thing is awesome. I didnt have a problem installing it over baseboard like some are saying. I just placed it in front of the baseboard on the floor and when I screwed in the screws the metal bracket bent and became flush with the wall. It seems to me that is how it was intended to work but I can see how it would throw some people off as the bracket isn't flush against the wall until after you screw it. Anyways, I have been searching for a bookshelf for my son's play area in our living room. I wanted something unique and this caught my eye. I was worried about the price because it is a little on the expensive side but I'm so glad I went for it! It arrived quick and was super easy to assemble. It's heavy, very sturdy and not at all flimsy. It's made to sit on the floor and be anchored to the wall, it does not hang on the wall and that makes installation much easier. The two wall brackets can be placed on any of the branches which meant I was able to find two studs rather than use the drywall anchors which was perfect. It's solid and holds way more books than I expected, even my son's biggest books fit. On top of all that it's so cute and everyone who sees it loves it. I'm obsessed with children's items that add to the decor of my house and don't look plastic or cheesy and this was the perfect shelf for my son's reading area since it is also in my living room. I always tell my husband if there is going to be kids stuff all over my house it's at least gonna be kids stuff I like to look at 😅 And this shelf fits my theme perfectly. ... show more

Nice white tree made of solid MDF that in theory should be attached to the wall which I did not as I use it to decorate only. However if you have children please fix it on the wall for safety reasons: the whole structure is very heavy!!!! It was so easy to build that it took me just 15 min! I like the fact I will be able to undo it easily if I move. It is a beautiful design that fit everywhere. As it is originally made for children bedrooms more of the components are safe and not toxic. The price is reasonable compared to other trees I have seen in shops. The brand is very serious: there is a one year warranty and their contact is supplied with the user manual in case of problems.     • Adorable, great for a modern nursery

I loved the look of the tree bookcase and Babyletto's version is clean and modern with a smooth finish. I particularly liked the lower height which is perfect for a child. This was relatively easy to install. If you have a baseboard, it's a bit trickier since you'd either have to install it above the baseboard, cut your baseboard, or install it in front of the baseboard and pull a filler/anchor to make in straight. I'd be hesitant to tilt it at an angle just for stability reasons. We went with the third option, which meant that we bought some extra hardware to do it. Sturdy and looks great! We paired this with the Oeuf classic collection which gives a nice contemporary look. I only rated it 4 stars since the instruction manual could be improved, particularly with the wall installation portion. There are also small subtle finishing details where there was a slight uneveness in some of the shelf seams where they join to the trunk, and the holes at the back of the tree are slightly misaligned with the hardware. Overall I'm pleased with the purchase and we've gotten a lot of compliments on it! ... show more

This bookcase is more decorative than it is functional, and I'd say it is actually better at displaying a variety of objects as opposed to just books. It is of great quality and is easy to assemble. It is absolutely necessary to anchor it to the wall and as others have mentioned, the flat back of the shelf doesn't work well if you have baseboards. To solve this issue, we added two small washers behind each anchor point so that when screwed in tightly, the shelf still stands perfectly safe. There is about a 1/2 inch gap between the shelf and the wall, but it isn't noticeable at all. Overall, very pleased! ... show more

This is everything I wanted in a modern bookshelf for our nursery. I'm not the typical bookcase type of girl, so when I saw this I knew I had to have it for our little girls room. A couple reviews made me nervous after they mentioned the tree wasn't very sturdy or secure. I decided to try it out anyways and I'm glad I did. Yes, the tree only has 2 contact points to screw into the wall. However, the majority of the weight sits on the trunk of the tree, on the floor. I did not use the anchors that came with the tree and instead invested a few extra dollars into some high quality anchors. These things will not be coming out of the wall. With that said, as long as common sense is used (utilizing better hardware than what came packaged), this tree bookcase is incredibly sturdy and super cute! I'm so happy with it and have received many compliments! :) ... show more

We really like this tree, even though we will not use it as a bookcase only: shelves are too shallow and not tall enough for most of big fairytale books of my 2,5 year old. But we will use it for miscellaneous items (favorite toys, tomorrow's cloth, etc.). The tree is very solid and heavy, so should be definitely secured to the wall. There is no way to fix it in the middle of the wall (not on the ground level) which we did think about before we received the product. The tree itself is quite tall and looks really good in the room.
