I don't usually write reviews but this thing is awesome. I didnt have a problem installing it over baseboard like some are saying. I just placed it in front of the baseboard on the floor and when I screwed in the screws the metal bracket bent and became flush with the wall. It seems to me that is how it was intended to work but I can see how it would throw some people off as the bracket isn't flush against the wall until after you screw it. Anyways, I have been searching for a bookshelf for my son's play area in our living room. I wanted something unique and this caught my eye. I was worried about the price because it is a little on the expensive side but I'm so glad I went for it! It arrived quick and was super easy to assemble. It's heavy, very sturdy and not at all flimsy. It's made to sit on the floor and be anchored to the wall, it does not hang on the wall and that makes installation much easier. The two wall brackets can be placed on any of the branches which meant I was able to find two studs rather than use the drywall anchors which was perfect. It's solid and holds way more books than I expected, even my son's biggest books fit. On top of all that it's so cute and everyone who sees it loves it. I'm obsessed with children's items that add to the decor of my house and don't look plastic or cheesy and this was the perfect shelf for my son's reading area since it is also in my living room. I always tell my husband if there is going to be kids stuff all over my house it's at least gonna be kids stuff I like to look at 😅 And this shelf fits my theme perfectly. ... show more

Nice white tree made of solid MDF that in theory should be attached to the wall which I did not as I use it to decorate only. However if you have children please fix it on the wall for safety reasons: the whole structure is very heavy!!!! It was so easy to build that it took me just 15 min! I like the fact I will be able to undo it easily if I move. It is a beautiful design that fit everywhere. As it is originally made for children bedrooms more of the components are safe and not toxic. The price is reasonable compared to other trees I have seen in shops. The brand is very serious: there is a one year warranty and their contact is supplied with the user manual in case of problems. This bookcase is more decorative than it is functional, and I'd say it is actually better at displaying a variety of objects as opposed to just books. It is of great quality and is easy to assemble. It is absolutely necessary to anchor it to the wall and as others have mentioned, the flat back of the shelf doesn't work well if you have baseboards. To solve this issue, we added two small washers behind each anchor point so that when screwed in tightly, the shelf still stands perfectly safe. There is about a 1/2 inch gap between the shelf and the wall, but it isn't noticeable at all. Overall, very pleased! ... show more

I bought this bookshelf for my daughters room and it looks amazing! It is really sturdy and holds so many more books that I thought it would. It is also quite heavy, so it is much easier to set up with two people, especially when you are securing it to the wall. Great purchase!

It’s a pretty design but it can’t actually hold books well. Unfortunately, it’s so heavy and already screwed into the wall, or else I would return. It’s so heavy, in fact, that it tipped over while leaning against a wall before being anchored and put a dent in the adjacent wall. This shelves also don’t leave enough height for standard children’s books, they also aren’t wide enough, so standard size books hang off the edge by a few inches. The height of the “branches” aren’t adjustable, so the taller books have to go towards the edges of the shelf, which is a bit unstable without adding smaller books to the ends. Due to the height challenges and the angle of the shelves (especially the higher arms), books easily fall over. Books fall when you pull one off the shelf, I can’t imagine what would happen with a child trying to take a book. Finally, the trunk of the piece is discolored and dented (pictured), which we didn’t notice until too late - our fault for not inspecting more thoroughly before assembling. For such an expensive item, we’re definitely disappointed. It’s almost like whoever designed this never owned or stored children’s books! ... show more
