  • Had For 5 Years - No Regrets Had For 5 Years - No Regrets
Style: Black and Washed Natural
Like all parents reading this, I spent a lot of time researching and reviewing before deciding on this crib for my firstborn. I bought this back in 2019, and after 4 great years, we are finally are ready to part with it. Initially, I was looking only at Greenguard Gold Certified cribs, which this is, but I was on the fence on this one because it was on the expensive end. I justified the purchase by saying it would last us through the first two years with the toddler conversion kit. We are past Year 4. Pre-Baby Stage. I suspect many new mothers are like this, but as soon as I learned I was pregnant, I started crib shopping. I purchased this early on, along with some other baby furniture, so it sat in a room sans baby for many months as I prepared for our little one. During this time, the bed was just a gorgeous piece of furniture. I loved that it was two-toned and easy to match. Also loved that it looked modern. It came with straightforward instructions on how to build. Newborn Stage. This is really the stage when you care about the appearance of the crib, because you will be taking a lot of photos of your baby in it. In this regard, it was an beautiful piece that complimented many outfits. With respect to functionality, with the mattress at its highest, it was easy to put the baby down on the mattress despite my more limited movement immediately post-partum. Infant Stage. This is a longer stage in which your baby will learn to sit up, stick their arms and legs through the bars, and eventually pull themselves up to a standing position in the crib. I appreciated the various features of the crib at this time. Every piece of the crib, including the bars, is very smooth, so there was never a fear of our baby getting splinters. The bars had the perfect amount of space in between. We had another crib with slats instead of bars and more narrow gaps between the slats. That didn't allow for our baby to pull himself up using the slats. On the other hand, little fingers easily wrapped around these bars. During this stage, however, is also when you need to lower the mattress a couple times so your baby won't be able to crawl out. Lowering and raising was easy. But putting our baby down without waking him was a test on our upper arm muscles. Our baby was a light sleeper, and bending down far enough to lower him just onto the mattress softly was not always easy. My husband commented on how the drop-side cribs of the past were much easier but, as it turned out, they're banned for safety reasons! Our son was also teething quite a bit during this stage. He started biting parts of the crib before we realized we needed covers. The wood was very soft so it was easy for him to leave very visible bite marks. He also took off some paint. We probably should have gotten guards as soon as he was able to pull himself up. Toddler Stage. This is the stage where your child will start treating the crib like monkey bars. At some point during this stage, they will be able to climb out. That was the point when we converted the crib to a toddler bed. To our surprise, having the freedom to choose encouraged our son to stay in his crib. He started to bring his toys and books in there and just hang out. The crib has taken the most abuse during this stage. He treats it like a trampoline, climbs on it, etc., and it's held up without an issue. Overall, we have been happy with this crib through all of the stages. ... show more

  • Very well designed with excellent materials
Style: Canyon and Washed Natural
We bought this so our new granddaughter could sleep in it when she visits. Assembly does take some time and attention to detail - I only installed one panel incorrectly and had to flip it over. But the hardware aligned perfectly. When fully assembled, it is extremely sturdy. The ability to adjust the height of the mattress will also come in handy over the next couple of years and my granddaughter grows. ... show more

  • Sleek, modern
Style: Canyon and Washed Natural
This is a very nice, modern, sleek baby bed. Finish is very smooth, no splintery or sharp rough edges. The sides are stationary, but there are multiple height adjustment levels for the mattress. This bed comes in several finish options, I encourage you to look at all options. I noticed that one of the color finishes was marked down cheaper. ... show more

  • Beautiful, high quality crib - great bargain compared to similar crib designs
We ordered this crib sight unseen (something we rarely do for furniture), and it turned out even better than we expected. The quality is great, especially for the price. The wood is quite solid, and we love the rich gray paint color. Unlike some other reviewers, we had no issues with the mattress fit - we ordered a standard size crib mattress and it fits like a glove (not too tight - it's easy to pull out the mattress for sheet changes). We also didn't have any problems installing it. Our kid has been sleeping in it for 6 months now (he's 8 months old) and we recently lowered the mattress to the lowest position since he can pull himself up. I was worried it would be a long ordeal, but it took less than 5 minutes to lower the mattress. As our kid ages, it still looks like-new - he chews on the rail but there aren't any signs of the paint wearing off. This crib is the focal point of our minimalist nursery, and I would definitely recommend it to other parents. ... show more

  • Beautiful solid crib
Style: White and Natural
This is an expensive crib but I personally think it’s worth the money. It is a beautiful solid wood piece & very easy to assemble. The adjustable heights are also perfect to grow with baby.

  • Good value - 2 things to note
Style: White and Natural
Solid, stable, pretty well designed - reduction in 1 star due to 2 design faults: 1. Part K, the base seemed to have either a dowel that was too long, or a hole that wasn't drilled deep enough. On tightening the fixed parts along the base to pull the pieces together - this caused the dowel to punch through and crack the wood on the other side. So be aware when you attach the vertical pieces to the base, be careful this doesn't happen with yours - I had to trim the dowel. Replacement part process has been filled, and is pretty easy. I will update if they don't send a replacement (also this happened on both sides, so seems a fault on part K on the latest batch) 2. the 'suspended' mattress base attaches at an angle. meaning small fingers could get between the vertical parts and the adjustable angled part. I havent ordered a mattress yet, but imagine this will fill the space where this could occur. An infant wont be strong or heavy enough to move the part, but a curious toddler may be able to. ... show more
