We got this as a present for a 18 month old. It was rated one of the top toys so we decided to give it a try. We didn't know what to expect but wow this toy exceeded expectations. The item looks so fancy and is really good quality. The wooden piano is strong and sturdy and the paint on it is impeccable. The sheet music is also so nice - on thick paper so a child can't just ripe it. It also has great songs on it. The concept of the toy is that a child who recognizes colors or is learning colors will be able to play the songs on the music. Both my kids love this toy! Eve the baby can figure out how to hit or slap the keys to get it to play. Which is so nice that he doesn’t have to do much work to play with it on his own. Got this for my 7m old, she's just starting to sit up well and loves to casually swat the keys, listen to the sound , and watch the lights. I love that the noise quality is wonderful, and parts of the keys light up different colors. This piano far exceeded my expectations and i hope my baby loves it for a long time. The technology is so freaking cool. And it plays key sounds in 4 different styles: drum sound, piano sound, xylophone sound, and disco sounds. I even love playing around with it! Our 10 month has not shown much interest in this “keyboard “. He may be a bit young for it though he is in the recommended age group. That said it is very well made and solidly built of quality materials. We look forward to the day when he grows into this nice piano.
