I think this product would work for a 6 month old.. but for 9 months and up, I think they would be ok to just have a nonslip mat at the bottom of tub. My 11 month old maneuvers his way out of the chair. Pretty much useless now.

I really like this seat for bubble baths. It's surprising how quickly my baby outgrew those baby bath tubs before he even reached 1 year old, so I have to bathe him in the big tub now, and this seat makes it much safer to keep him in one place in the huge tub. The suction cups work very well and it doesn't take up space since I just suction it to the back wall of the shower and it stays there. The wind up toys and squeaky duck that come with this are super cute and add another level of bath play for the little one. I don't use the other item though, which I think is like a shower cap. I hope I can get more uses out of this bath seat, right now he's 1.5 years and is able to stand up and get out of the bath seat, but he stays on it 95% of the bath time.

Worth it. Keep in mind before purchasing, this seat is for older babies/toddlers who can confidently sit up on their own. I'm using it for my one and a half year old as a transitioning tool from his baby bath seat. He can sit on his own in the bath but I feel better with the extra protection around him. Came with a lot of extras like little toys!
