She’s been asking for a baby alive doll for a while and I bought it for her for Christmas. I don’t like that there are only 2 packets of “food” and 2 diapers, but we’re going to make reusable diapers and she can pretend to feed her baby with water. I also bought a doll high chair, swing, and crib to go with this doll. I currently have an 8 month old daughter and when I put her in her high chair, my 6yo also puts her doll in the doll’s high chair. She loves spending the time with me and it also gives her great experience in case she decides to become a mom one day. She pays attention more to what I do with her baby sister so it is great insight. She loves when I “babysit” her doll while she does chores. She got a gift card to Walmart and ended up buying a car seat for this doll and was insistent on taking her baby doll to her dad’s house. She loves her baby and it teaches her how to take care of someone/thing she was a little upset we didn't get extra diapers she went through the two that came with her quick we use applesauce and wash it out with water it would make for a great gift it can be educational for little ones if u show them how good water is to clean there belly's out how if they eat big food it can get stuck in there throat and how hygiene works when potty training the value for the money is good but you will definitely want extra diapers and food ... show more

My daughter absolutely loves these Baby Alive dolls…for like two days. There are two little packets of food mix for this doll to be fed and then she messes her diaper. It’s lot of fun for two feeds each time you mix a packet, but then you’ve got two dirty diapers and dirty bowls and a cranky kid because you didn’t get enough food mix for the doll to eat! I found a recipe to sort of recreate the food online and I think that’s the direction we’ll be going in the future. Otherwise, these dolls are adorable, hold up great and have lots of fun accessories. They are pretty hard and not very cuddly, but they clean up really well (plus for moms)! ... show more

5 stars for how much my daughter loves this doll. 1 star in my heart for how horribly messy it is! I should have known, so I’m not blaming the company and taking away stars. But this is worse than slime. Also, the food and diapers are stupidly expensive. STUPIDLY. Alternative? Make your own food with water, corn starch and food coloring - and buy premature baby diapers in bulk. They are a little bigger than the doll diapers but they work a lot better, and they’re a lot cheaper! About 25 cents per diaper instead of over $1 per diaper!!!!! ... show more
