This was unfortunately not a real Jansport. Two different materials mixed together and the cords on the zippers are mismatched. All in all cheap looking and not even a convincing knock off. Side by side with my real Jansport you can totally tell the difference. What a let down!

This is such a horrible backpack. There's a big piece of material right above the zipper that the zipper gets caught almost every single time you zip it up. Also the inner material gets in the way of the zipper as well. The whole thing is just horribly designed. Because of all of the issues of the zipper getting caught, now the zipper teeth are all messed up as well. It's really the worst designed backpack and I can't believe I spent 30 bucks on it. I'm verry dissapointed with this back pack. I believe it to be a knock off . The price of it says it all! I have scoliosisb and this was the worse bag I ever purchased. The straps are so thin so it has no support. I put one book in my bag & it feels like the whole world is on my back. I hate leaving reviews this bad...but dang. The material is plastic & not to mention the zipper keeps getting stuck. I'm done with this cheap backpack. I want my money back. ... show more

Bought this for my teenage daughter and she loves it so that in itself speaks volumes. It fits her books and a laptop and holds quite a bit of weight - the straps on the back are padded so it doesn’t dig into her shoulders. I would recommend this backpack.

We were looking for a better pack than the one she had for our daughter. Our goals were to have something with a side panel for her water bottle and enough room for her laptop and just a few items, along with a separate pocket for mask(s). And we didn't want it too heavy since she's only five. (Luckily, she doesn't have to carry the laptop eery day; just Mon/Fri, but in COVID times, yeah, 5 year old have laptops now.) Anyway, she's a fairly big kid for 5. A bit over 42" and 48lbs. The pack fits her ok, even if just a bit big. But it's not overwhelmingly big and anything smaller - for her - would have been not quite enough. The only thing that maybe doesn't thrill me is it might have been nice if there was perhaps one more panel/zipper/section in front. The zipper section in front does have a dividing packet, but just one more separated space might have been nice to keep masks separate. Still, this is a Jansport and will hopefully live up to its name in quality. We didn't want to get some cheap piece of garbage that would fall apart. So far we're only 2 weeks in so I can't say much about it's toughness, but wanted to put in her size/weight as that's always the thing that bugs us about these things; it's hard to tell if it'll work for a particular size person. ... show more

I bought this backpack from my daughter who is a freshman in high school. She decided to wait to use it so we put it in her closet. Today she wanted to switch from her old backpack to this new one and we found that the zippers don't work. The front pocket zipper pull broke off and the top zippers for the main pouch just don't move. JanSport is a great brand so I have no idea what happened in the 2.5 months that it was stored in a closet. So weird. Great color though. ... show more

It was a gift for my sister. It's a classic backpack in a nice soft pink color. It was a little "crispy" in the beginning, but after it has been used for some time, the material seems to have softened. Dirt will show, so avoid this color if that bothers you. The bag feels sturdy and well made, and has held up well through semi-regular use over the last year and half. It is not too big so it won't engulf a petite person, but spacious enough to fit a reasonable amount of things. ... show more

Having four girls, once we learned JanSport backpacks have a lifetime warranty that’s the brand we gravitate to. We tried a cute unicorn print backpack last year that wasn’t a JanSport and it only lasted half the school year. To replace it for the remaining school year I dug an old pink JanSport backpack out from about 12 years ago and it looked good as new. My youngest wanted to pick her own so she choose this backpack and called it her cotton candy backpack. The colors are bright and vibrant and the backpack is well made as all JanSport backpacks are. The only time we’ve replaced them was when the girls got tired of the design or needed a laptop backpack as they got older. With their lifetime warranty you can’t go wrong. ... show more
