  • This underrated film has so much wisdom
LOOOOOOVE this film. One of my favorite movies of all time. Truly so much wisdom in it... I'm still learning things from it. Like even the "Baa Ram Ewe" bit at the end... I didn't get it until recently. Apparently, when dealing with others from various cultures, sometimes people will not talk to you and think you rude until you first address various things important to them, like asking how their families are. Ask that first, and people who previously thought you weird will all of the sudden warm up and you can have a discussion. Obviously it's different for every culture, but it never ceases to amaze me how much simple wisdom is in this beautiful film. PS... Babe 2 is also highly underrated and another favorite even though its tone and focus is so completely different. ... show more

  • Babe
My grown autistic son has loved this movie (for a very long time). It’s been great to be able to buy “vintage” movies like this.

  • Our Favorite Pig!
I recently watched Babe with my 5-year-old granddaughter who was very drawn into the story. She found the evil cat in the story to be a bit much, she was so invested in the outcome of Babe's ambition to be a sheep-herding piggy. We thoroughly enjoyed the story, and I noted the next day she was still simmering with creativity, having been so stimulated by the antics of our favorite pig. For those who have not met Babe, prepare to be transported to another time and place, which seems quite magical. Animals speak, and characters are well-drawn. This is on the order of Charlotte's Web--a classic tale, spun in the context of the English countryside. I'm sure I'll have requests for an encore, when my granddaughter visits again. ... show more
