    • Sturdy and easy to put together
Upon opening the box it was clear to see everything was organized well. Everything is labeled appropriately, however there were a couple of rods that were labeled under the packaging. So you won't know those pieces until you take the foam off of the ends. The package that holds the screws are labeled a bit funky, but you can figure it out. The finish is even and without a ton of blemishes. I didn't notice any large blemishes while putting it together. Assembly directions are well written, easy to read and understand. Pictures are very helpful. While assembling the bed all components seem to be well built with quality materials and design. Assembly was fairly easy with the exception of the slat retainers. They were pretty hard to install and some of the tabs can break off. This doesn't seem to affect the functionality or safety of the bed. Not enough for me to remove any stars because of it. Once the bed is assembled it is quite sturdy. It does have a slight wobble to it, but not more than most metal bunk beds. Once it was put against the wall (in the corner), there were no issues even when the kids were getting up and down off of the top bunk. Overall very satisfied with the fit and finish of the bed, even more so that I got it on a black Friday deal, but I would pay full price for this as the quality is good. ... show more

    • Look at all of the instructions before you start
This bed is crazy sturdy and would be really easy to put together if everything was labeled. I had 3 technical difficulties while building it and that because only 4 of the railings were labeled, which technically wouldn't have been an issue if i would have looked at all the instructions before starting. Other than that its a super solid bed and doesn't have to much wiggle when climbing in and out of it. We did get thread locker as an extra precaution though, which i would recommend. Only the ladder has lock nuts. Its shorter than most bunk beds which in my case i really like because my kids are younger. I'm 5'3 and i can look over the railing on the top bunk. Honestly, I'm super happy i went with my gut instinct with this purchase rather than buying from somewhere locally. Better quality for a fraction of the price. ... show more

I love the size of this bed, easy set up, good functionality, Only complaint I have is I thought it was flush on the floor, instead it has about an inch gap that allows toys, etc to be pushed underneath by little ones. So bed has to be moved daily to prevent buildup underneath. Everything else about it is great. I was nervous at first buying a bunk bed off Amazon that I didn’t get to see in person to test the quality. However, I read the reviews and decided to give this one a try. I’m so glad I did! This bed is high quality and easy to install. It took me alone about two hours to build. I did occasionally ask for help holding pieces in place, which is why they suggest having a second person. Once built, you can easily see how durable it is. My kids have been non-stop up and down the ladder with zero concerns on stability. Now the bottom bunk is very low to the ground. Only a couple inches from touching the floor. We chose this because my youngest has a tendency to roll around at night and wanted him closer to the ground. This takes away the ability to store things under the bed. We understood that going into buying this bunk bed so definitely consider that prior to your purchase. ... show more

I spent hours online looking for bunkbeds last Christmas. These were the nicest looking metal bunkbeds I'd seen, plus I liked the fact that they are so low to the ground as my kids are only 5 and 7. It was pretty easy to assemble and turned out exactly as pictured. They are sturdy and the kids love them. We also purchased the recommended mattresses, which apparently are comfy enough that my significant other napped in the bottom bunk the other day. I'm 5'10, 165lbs and went up to the top to make the bed, it moved a little, but didn't feel shaky or unsafe. All around, I'd say this is the best choice for younger kids if you're on a budget. ... show more

So far this bed was so worth purchasing!!! I’m so happy about this bed !!! I searched for weeks for a bunk bed that was appropriate for my girls age difference and the space they have in their room and let me tell yal this is it!!! My girls are 4 and 8 years old, and this bed has the right amount of space between bunks to where I can sit up without hitting the top bunk on the bottom and same with my 8 year old. Its close to the ground so not to high for a young child and it’s super sturdy… everything came well packaged!! The instructions for the bed were super easy to follow and it took about an hour to put together between me and my husband, super easy !! Literally everything was a breeze I couldn’t be more pleased!! For reference both mattresses are 8 in. The top won’t take anything bigger as I think we were pushing it with the 8 in. but the bottom can go for a 10.in if wanted!! I hope this review helps someone like me who really needed something like this for a small space and two girls/boys in different age groups !! ... show more

It looks great and has plenty of head space for both the top and bottom beds. Doesn't make noise (like other reviews has noted) but it was annoying that the directions didn't tell us to look out for the railing w/ the hole for the ladder. There is a very specific spot that each railing is supposed to go so that the ladder can be screwed into place, and it doesnt specify. Obviously that should be noted in the instructions, but we got to the last step (of screwing on the ladder) and realized that we had to take it apart so that the railing w/the holes for the ladder was in the correct spot. Annoying, but it didn't take long to fix it. It's really hard to get these little plastic pieces in place (the ones that hole the bars that support the mattresses), but other than that, it was very easy to set up. We had to switch out the top mattress for a shorter one because the pillow top mattress we had was too tall and there wouldn't have been a railing to stop my child from rolling out of bed. ... show more
