The baby’s first use of this was with a strawberry, cut and cleaned and placed inside the capsule then secured onto the handle and tighten the nut to hold it in place. She so enjoyed the chomping on the soft capsule and getting the juice and small pulp from the strawberry. The tri-handle really helps in getting her small hands something to hold while trying to get it into her mouth. We tried blueberries and that went just as well as the strawberries. Simply mash up whatever fruit or vegetable you are introducing, put it in the “pretend” pacifier base, and from there your baby is able to enjoy it on their own, with little mess! This b.box Silicone Fresh Food Feeder is very well made and easy to clean. I usually use this to feed fruit like strawberries, blueberries, etc. So there won't be chocking hazard as fruit would be squeezed into puree, making it easier for infants to chew and swallow.
