This is my first time doing dip nails. Though I may get a professional pedicure once a year, the last time I did a professional manicure was 19 years ago for my wedding. I recently was using the Lily & Fox nail wraps which ended up wrecking my nails, even with base coats, etc. My nails are already thin and ridgy. Buffing out ridges damages them even more. This dip system has promise! It is easy to do. There are great YouTube videos. One of the best tips was to do the first base coat not quite up to the cuticle and the next up to the cuticle. Then there is no bump to drill or file down. I tried 3 layers on the first finger and it was too thick. Did 2 dips in the rest and that was perfect. I did not use the included file, but a metal emery board and buffing block (side 1 is perfect for smoothing the mail prior to topcoat). I have to keep my nails short, but this is the shortest they’ve been due to the nail damage. Hoping, I can finally grow them out more.🤞 I might even experiment later with putting wraps over the dip. ... show more

  • Buen producto!
El producto excelente, pero al querer utilizar uno de los 4 colores uno de ellos traía menos de la mitad del producto. Lamentablemente ya lo había comenzado a utilizar.

  • It is translucent, great color but expect to use more coats than it says.
These powders are more translucent than I expected, they are also rather thin. My pic is probably about 8 coats. I initially went with about 4-5 coats but was having issues with cracking. I love this color, I tend to favor dark colors for fall/winter but recently encountered some issues with "greenies" <shudder> which really grossed me out. After treating the effected nails, I decided to stick with translucent colors until I make sure that issue has completely been resolved, so far it's been 2 weeks and no reemergence of the issue. I will continue to buy this brand, just be aware that not all of their powders come in the same little container, some come in really shallow containers (pay close attention to the photos). I have found the quickest way to remove them without damaging your nail bed, to buff of the top clear coat then heat up some water about 2" worth in a containers about 5-6" across (as warm as you can stand your hand to be submerged into). I use a 6 cup Pyrex. In a plastic zip lock bag, add about 1.5" of 100% acetone and about a teaspoon of coconut oil. Put a couple of cotton balls or pieces of paper towel in the bag. Then sit the bag in the heated water, the coconut oil will melt and will keep the acetone from drying out your skin. Put your hand in with your finger tips submerged, rub your nails with the cotton balls or paper towels, it will only take about 4 min to soak the nails off using this method. ... show more

after have nails for 25 years it's time for a break(plus trying toi find a great nail tech) my nails are pretty good condition. I just hate when I wash my hais that I dont have nails to scratch scalp, so i thought this would be a great alternative without having tips - just to keep nails be firmer. not even 12 hours later - they cracked and started poppig off. the tray to put the powered in - FLIMSEY AF! if you do get this and it works for you - use over a placement or something -power is fine and gets over everything. - i thnks I search for a nail tech who does builder gel ... show more

  • Zero Stars!
The low price is what sold me but I had instant buyers regret after using this product once. Several nails chipped/cracked the same day I did my nails even though I followed the instructions. And the chemicals in these base/top coat/activator bottles made me choke while using them. One of them smelled exactly like superglue and one of them I am pretty sure is some sort of toxic gas. Waste of money. ... show more

  • MISSING PEICES & TOP WAS DRIED OUT!
Was super excited to receive this in the mail. Right off the bat, I noticed the nail dip container was missing and thought well, "okay that's fine" Until I got to doing my nails and found the top coat was completely dried out and was rubbery and could not finish the last part of my nails.

  • Love love love
This is my first time using dip powder nail products, after a friend convinced me. When I opened the box, I kinda scoffed at how cheap the packaging is, and how small the actual jars of powder were. However, after giving myself a manicure, I don't think I'll go through the jars very quickly. The file included in the kit is a bit of a joke, it leaves lil black bits all over your nails, so be sure to use a higher quality file. (I didn't mind the poor file included since the rest of the kit is actually pretty nice for the overall price) I bought the jelly nude set, and the colors are divine. I used the darker blush pink on my nails and they are gorgeous. The product can be a lil finicky, if you put the base on your cuticles by accident, you'll have to remove it or file it off before the top coat. I don't mind the extra steps. I also used uv gel top coat instead of the included top coat in the kit. Someone else recommended using it in another review, so I can't say whether the top coat included is good or not. The powders were a lil messy, but no problem at a table or desk, not the sort of thing you just casually use on a bed. I really enjoyed the process of doing the manicure, it is very comparable to having salon acrylics in my eyes, VERY STURDY. Highly recommend, and I expect them to last a long time. Watch a couple videos about application techniques, and you definitely get salon quality nails for less than 15$. Will be giving all my friends manicures too :)) ... show more
