We've now used these shelves in a few places in our home, and we are so happy with them. The wood quality and look is beautiful. It is solid wood, and the brackets for it are sturdy metal and easy to hang. We bought a set of both 24" and 36" to create this corner. My husband had to shave a little wood off the backs of some of them to square them up at the front, but that was due to uneven walls, not the shelves. My comment here is that it was not an issue to do this, and the shelves were easily modified like this to make everything fit nicely. The bonus of them being solid wood. They are exactly what I envisioned for this corner and are very stable enough to hold all the things I put on them.

The key to installing these is to be sure the brackets are screwed into the studs. Find the studs first, measure the distance between them, and be sure to order the set with the mounting bracket that matches up to your measurements. Once that is out of the way install the shelf bracket with some help, and use a level. The mounting brackets are heavy duty and is one of the things that make this product stand out from other similar types. My wife and I put these up in under an hour and loved the results. They look sharp, have clean lines and are very sturdy. They are deep enough to hold a lot of different sized items and there is no complaints about the wonderful finish. I love that these are REAL wood, there really is no faux alternative that could look this nice. They have been up for 3 months with no issues and we are buying another set!

THEIR HARDWARE IS CRAP!!!!!

DO NOT BUY THESE SHELVES! Or, go ahead and buy them if you love aggravation and want to go thru the installation process two or three times before you're confident these heavy shelves will stay on the wall - if that's your idea of fun. The shelves themselves are fine, actually decent, but the hardware included for installation is crap - TOTAL CRAP! The expansion molly bolts DO NOT EXPAND - they are worthless! So you put them in, put on the wall bracket, and when they won't tighten you take if all down/out. Go ahead - try the clear plastic mollys they send. But wait, the screws won't tighten in those either because they're CRAP! Having fun yet? Take everything down (again!), go to the hardware store, spend $20 for a box of large (because now you've put expansion mollys and mollys in/out twice so the hole is BIG) QUALITY mollys and do it a third time! Like I said, shelves good, hardware CRAP. Have fun!

Great shelves once installed, hardware is lacking.

We hung these floating shelves together and overall I really love them, but installation took much longer than it should have. The shelves themselves look great once they are up. They feel sturdy, sit flush to the wall, and the finished look is exactly what I wanted. They instantly made the space feel more finished and polished. The issue was with the hardware and mounting system. The built-in hanging tools and the included drywall screws were very cheaply made. Both screws stripped and we ended up having to stop mid-install and go buy our own drywall anchors and screws. Once we swapped those out, the shelves went up much more smoothly. If you are comfortable doing basic installs or plan to use your own hardware, these are a great option and the final result is worth it. Just know going in that you may want to replace the included mounting pieces to save yourself time and frustration.

I don’t usually do reviews. But this product was exceptionally well built and easy to install! And the product matched my decor perfectly! This product is made from solid wood not MDF. It is sturdy and is of the highest quality! I liked it so much. I bought another one and can’t wait to install it as well. I probably went a little overboard with installation, but that is just my personal preference. The hardware that is enclosed, I’m sure would work just fine. I decided to go the extra mile and use toggle boats but again that’s just personal preference. This product is exceptional!!!

Needs tweaking

If you run your hand along the edge of the shelf, it should not feel rough or give you a splinter I know it says rustic, but that doesn’t mean careless finish, also seems it needs a final sanding after the stain/finish is applied as the grain is raised.The grain is beautiful and these are heavy, solid shelves( better have studs available for screwing into ). One or two of the shelves were not flat, but slightly bowed.Hardware is adequate , weird that the best finish was on the short sides of the shelves . I paired these shelves with Amazon EzValo rechargeable led lights and overall outcome is okay In retrospect I might have liked to hand finish them myself before installing and perhaps used a neutral lacquer finish, but too much work now . The manufacturer could easily get 5 stars if finishing was better, honestly i would have no problem paying a little more for a proper effort But guests are impressed when they visit, so overall acceptable?
