These work the best of any labels for my uses... they don't smudge and they do not tear and they have an exceptionally strong adhesive. So far they're the only labels that stick fast to my food saver bags... of course they have to be applied prior to filling them and freezing. The only criticism I have is either Amazon --or the vendor that supplies them-- sometimes fails to put the labels in a box or envelope for shipping. Simply applying a shipping label to the off-the-shelf package means they arrived frayed, creased or wrinkled. When damaged, they are not suitable to run thru a laser printer. Fortunately, they will replace, but it seems silly to send a product like that thru the mail without packing it properly. ... show more

Needed labels to put address labels on ice bags we sell at my store. Works brilliantly. They stay on and have no problems with frost or condensation. They may be overkill for shipping labels though. The most surprising factor was my laser printer has no problem with residual imaging (a ghost piece from the top of the page appearing further down the page or on subsequent pages). This surprises me because all the matte labels (yes Laser approved ones) I've used from Avery leaves traces of it on subsequent pages and prints. Quite pleased with these labels. ... show more

Instead of having to purchase one of those expensive food labeler for a commercial kitchen, these labels were great hard to peel off the dishwasher so I only use them for freezer use on bags.

    • Excellent for Paper, Glass, Slick Plastic Application. A Stronger Adhesive needed for my tough application was only negative.

They are certainly better thank any paper label produced by Avery that needs to Hang Tough in rough conditions. The Laser Ink performed well with only a few that smudged. The price was good. The only thing that did not meet expectation was the adhesive. I was expecting better "Stick" for my rocks on glossy acrylic. I have had to glue down and Modge Podge over to feel really good about it staying on the rock.. Still, this was the best option out there for my application. The Avery Design website is wonderful! I just spent 3 hours trying my hardest to get this to print, thinking it had to be some clever little setting or paper type. I even imagined myself typing up a review explaining how to get this stuff to print perfectly. To my credit, the title does not have LASER in it, nor does it have INKJET. The box has a very busy cover with lots of stuff on it but if you look real close, on the bottom right it says "Laser". No, there is no clever setting to get it to work with my inkjet printer. I tried them all. I had to give 5 stars for this because it was my fault it doesn't work and I just wanted to help people out that might have made the same mistake. ... show more

Adhesion: These labels may stick great to some things. They stick to battery packs and PVC heat shrink…. Ok. Just ok. Not good or great. I thought something that was waterproof would be stickier but it is not for my use. They are however an improvement versus Avery’s 5160 labels. Those would fall off completely on my smaller packs. The 5520 labels mostly stayed attached. The 5520 stickers do a great job sticking to anti static bags. On the AAA packs pictured, the labels had be sticking to solid plastic or they get detached. The ones pictured had metal leads exposed. Once the labels were repositioned, those stuck properly. It’s an improvement over the 5160 labels. Printing: They’re great for printing. If the background is white. Any other color background will have imperfections. Labels with black background will print better than green. See pictures. I haven’t tried any other colors yet. My battery packs are either black or green. It’s possible HP laser printers just don’t like these labels or I haven’t found the right combination. I will try these with a Lanier and Konica Minolta and compare results. At the end of the day, my customers know what the batteries are. The labels are readable despite some cosmetic imperfections.
