  • Not Bad for a Space-Saving Device... I'd Buy it Again !!!
Model: F4
Not a bad little mixer. I do have two 16 channel mixers, but this little device gives me the set-up I need in a VERY small space to record my Native American Flute music. I read the reviews discussing the flimsy knobs & supposedly "weak" effects, but nave no problem with either of those features. In my application, it's pretty much, "set it & forget it", in that, once I dial in my settings, I really have no need to touch the mixer after that. All other effects & enhancements happen though the recording software. My signal chain consists of a wireless mic, a UHF mic receiver, a D.I. box & a Scarlett Solo, into the recording software on my PC. Works great for me. Again, for me, the major advantage of this little box, is space savings. I record my flute in a different area of my music room from where my other two 16 channel mixers are set up & this little box is perfect for a mini table-top recording set-up. A little hint here - the 99 effects are only listed in broad categories & A.I. found a breakdown of all 99 effects so I don't have to guess what any specific effect is based on my ears. I printed the listing of all 99 effect & keep it nearby, however, I rarely change effects. ... show more

  • Works for acoustic instruments.
Model: F4
I'm using this to run multiple instruments through my guitar amp. It works well. The high pass filters and PAD are very helpful. The phantom power works well. For small churches and venues and the sound is acceptable. You do have to watch out for hiss if you crank the main sliders above 5. The phantom power is very hot. You have to really be careful with your settings to prevent feed back. The sound on live vocals is pretty descent. I was able to dial my effects for my dojo so that it was a close match to my Fishman Loudbox Mini and EV 30m speakers. Overall it works well for the purpose I bought it for. I would probably rate it 4.4. ... show more

I was not going to buy this board because of the brand someone told me that this wasn't a good brand but I tried it anyway because it was small with a lot of features I am very satisfied with this mixing board especially the Bluetooth option it gives me option to Bluetooth my phone to it and I can walk off at least 30 ft away from the board with my phone and play music off of YouTube in the middle of a gig ... show more

  • In depth review - vary positive
Model: F4
Overall I loved this unit, I wrote a summery about it, and an in depth review for those interested. Summery: For the price, the build quality, features, and performance are very solid. It is not competing with high end gear that costs 2 to 5 times more, but for podcasting and budget recording it performs very well. If you need affordable mic input expansion with good flexibility, this is a strong option. Read below for the detailed breakdown if you want the full technical thoughts. In depth: Build • Metal chassis with high quality plastic • Feels solid, not cheap • Professional color scheme, not flashy or budget looking Features • Pad mode I use this to bring line level signal from my external preamp into the mixer without clipping the input. Very important for studio flexibility. • Independent 48V phantom power per channel Much better than a global switch since some mics need phantom and some do not. • High pass filter Useful for cleaning up low end rumble. • 3 band EQ High, mid, low. Sounds good and much better than only having high and low controls. Sound I’m an audio engineer and normally record through a tube mic into a 1073 style preamp with Apogee converters, so I’m used to high quality capture. • Noise floor is higher than higher end units • There is noticeable quality drop compared to my main setup • For podcasting it sounds very good • For budget music recording it is absolutely usable For the price, the sound is more than fair. Gain Manufacturer does not clearly list specs, but based on internal design it likely uses: • +5V digital rail • +12V or +15V boosted analog rail • +48V phantom rail Estimated gain range: • Minimum: 0 to 5 dB • Usable range: 10 to 25 dB • Max: 30 to 40 dB • Condenser mics worked great • SM7B got fairly loud without fully maxing the gain, though it was close ... show more

  • Decent backpack mixer for those just starting out!
Model: F4
I've had the pleasure of playing around with this Aveek 4 Channel Mixer now for about a month. Taking it out of the box the build quality feels nice for the price your paying. I was expecting some plastic hollow mixer but this one does have some weight to it. I would say for under $75 its decent for budget entry livestreams. If you are trying to use this in a professional environment then this will not get you the sound you are wanting. Its also great for practicing guitar or keyboards at home. It’s definitely fun to use, especially if you’re just getting started. The one downfall as some others may have also mentioned is its not a true stereo mixer. It does have decent Bluetooth connectivity but no output for it it. If you're looking for that compact mixer you can toss in your backpack and run across town to setup a podcast or jam out with some friends this would fit that bill. If you are a working professional who needs that custom sound and a high level this will definitely fall short of that. All in all for under a $100 its still a good grab! Perfect for basic mixing or hobbyists on a budget but if you need stereo imaging or consistent digital connectivity look higher up the price range. ... show more
