I have a 1985 Mercedes 300SD which originally had US mandated sealed beams. They were horrible so I upgraded to Hella H4 halogen. Big improvement over the two brown spots. I have become accustomed to modern white LED car lighting and even the H4s seemed dim and brown so I upgraded the bulbs to these. I can’t believe the difference! The old 100w H4s put out so much heat I could cook bacon in front of them but with these I barely feel any radiated heat so that reduces the load on the electrical system in addition to fantastic road lighting. Amazon correctly said these would not fit my car but that was under the assumption it still had its original sealed beams. If you have H4s, these are a form, fit, function replacement and they don’t stick out the back any further than the H4s. That’s critical in this car because there is a back plate which allows just enough room for the connector. These are a major upgrade and at a very reasonable price. ... show more

After install the Daytime Running Light (DRL) came on on the display. I was aware that this would probably happen. Usually this indicator means that a lamp is out because the sensor "sees" so little current being used but the LEDS use so little current that the sensor kicks the warning light on even though all lamps are working. I have these installed on my motorcycle and I've been using them for a long time. I ride almost every day, including in the summer in Phoenix, Arizona. I've ridden up to about 5 hours at a go with these lights and they just work. They're bright enough during the day that people see me, but not so bright that people flash me at night. This has been my go to brand for over a year now. I have even introduced my significant other to this brand. Not only is it good quality but very affordable and they have great customer service. I was able to get my lights to stop flickering once the company sent me the adjusters. They reached out to me multiple times (I missed their messages because I hadn’t checked my messages in a long time) until I got back to them. The lights fit exactly like the original 9003 units, which took me about 15 minutes or less for me to install both right and left units. Most of the time was spent cleaning to make ready for clean installations. I very highly recommend these LED replacements. As for longevity, it will be very interesting to see how long they last here in northern Arizona. ... show more
