Summary: Based on the initial performance, I'm looking forward to never needing to tip and dump a full paddleboat of water ever again! The installation is tricky, being one-size fits most. There are three lateral straps and two lengthwise and they attach with clips. the webbing straps are easily adjustable and there is plenty of strap provided - but the design necessitates all 5 straps going under the boat and there is no gusseting or elastic built in to hold the cover in place, so the install may be a two-person job for some boats. Pros: Cover is waterproof - I waited until after a substantial rain to compose this review in order to be certain. Fabric appears to have a waterproof backing - will update if wear becomes a factor in the near term. Size - cover was large enough to completely cover our older 4-person Pelican paddleboat with cover to spare. Attractive design. It certainly looks nicer than a tarp! Cons: Installation of cover is not a simple one-person job based on straps needing to go under the boat and nothing holds the cover relatively in position while straps are being worked on (could benefit from elastic on the perimeter of the cover). ... show more

I saw this product and ordered it without paying attention to the details. As such, I was disappointed with what really is a pretty good product, at its price point. The cover is made of a nice, heavy, water-repellent material. It is large enough to completely cover our pedal boat. Where I went wrong with it is, I saw the pictures and assumed it was a stretch fit cover, which it is not. This is a rectangular cover with straps to secure it to your pedal boat. The straps must be run underneath the boat in order to secure the cover. I was able to achieve a nice, snug fit on my pedal boat, so I can leave the boat sitting out this summer without worrying about the footwells filling with rain water and discoloring the boat. The problem is that I have to work a bit harder to get the cover on and off. Running the straps underneath the boat is kind of a pita, especially as I'm getting older and doing things like this by myself is not as easy as it used to be. So, overall, this cover is a great option if you have a pedal boat at a lake house and you use it every other week or so and/or store it outside during the winter. If you use your boat every few days, this cover is going to be more work than it's worth, and you might should consider a different product. ... show more

There is nothing worse than planning for a ride in our pedal boat and finding it full of nasty old rainwater and algae! We do our best to keep it turned upside down or tilt it against a building to prevent that but sometimes that doesn’t happen. This cover is fairly simple to put on, using straps and buckles. However, it does take a good amount of effort if you are putting it on by yourself because the straps need to go under the boat to attach to the cover correctly. The cover has not blown off during a storm yet and has kept water from entering in our pedal boat. My only issue is that it is more of a long-term cover because it’s time consuming putting the cover on and taking it off. ... show more

I was expecting something a bit more form fit to the boat. I’ve had others in the past with an elastic strip and that’s what I was expecting. This is more like a flat tarp where you have to pass straps under the boat. Not a great fit. But I guess it did stay on in a storm we had the other night.

Put on our paddle boat April 4, 2023. Color faded quickly. July 2nd, 2023 cover dry rotted and ripped. Wouldn't recommend, very disappointed.

Every time we go to use the pedal boat we need to go through the pain of dumping the rain water out and then clean and drying the seats. Problem solved. This is a great cover that fits our boat well. Should have ordered this years ago.
