I bought this for turkey and it works great for my size(5'11"-360lbs) It does snag on brush but that's to be expected. But the storied I have with the few times I've worn it. Earlier this week I had a black bear walk within 10ft of me while working a gobbler. And not 15mins ago I had a stud of a Grey squirrel spring off my back while sitting a field edge. I can't wait for archery season. Please note I don't normally write reviews so to say I'm happy with this is an understatement. It's also breathable in warm weather and surprisingly adds some relief from wind in colder weather, it's definitely not a coat though so dress accordingly. ... show more

Used this ghillie poncho for archery hunting. I had just vegged it up a little and had a nice 8pt buck at 8 yds directly in front of me. Unable to harvest due to a tree. The deer could not pinpoint my exact location until dummy me moved my toes... I forgot to move the dead leaves out from under my feet when I sat down. Then, 10 minutes later, I had a flock of turkey at 5 yds directly behind me. I then decided to move locations after that, and 30 minutes into sitting at new location, a squirrel almost climbed up my leg. For the money, this thing really works. I am the type that cannot sit still, especially when my butt and back start hurting from sitting still too long. It covered my pack, and my hip worn quiver. I sat in a small folding hunting chair, and it draped over me and the chair and touched the ground. Lightweight, breathable, and tough. I only lost on string, and that was due to a wild rose vine. For the money, it worked as expected, if not better. I did not soak in muddy water or anything. only thing that was cumbersome was my monocular string got wrapped up in the strings, but it untangled easy. As with most pre manufactured ghillie suits, it’s ok and about on par. I like that it is light weight and easy to put on and take off. I plan on using this for still stalking this hunting season, and I think it is good enough to fool deer. As anyone with experience with ghillie suits knows, it’s actually natural foliage woven into the suit with the yarn that blends you best. Having said that, I made some quick alterations to the poncho (suit) to make it a little better. For anyone looking to buy this these may help you. *stitched a cut out sniper veil around the hood to camo and break up the facial out line *stitched in 550 cord loops to weave in natural foliage to make it look more like my surroundings. Also, you’ll need a pair of gloves to hide your hands and break up their out line too. Hope this helps. Happy hunting. 👍👍 ... show more
