This is the best stuff for silencing metal. Other products just add a camo pattern. They feel more like the cheap gauze but do nothing to muffle the sound of metal on metal. This tape is fantastic. It has excellent adhesive and easily holds around odd shaped objects and right radius curves. Once in place it does not peel up on the edges. As far as sound deadening, it is a miracle. Made my rappel and climbing gear go from sounding like a bag of wrenches to being completely silent.
