My grandaughter received this toy at her first birthday party and it was an instant hit with her. It is very well made and durable. Her little hands can squeeze each animal to make the sounds, and she loves ducks, which this reenforced...."uck", one of her first words. As a retired early childhood educator, I think this is an excellent value for a young toddler, rich in many language and cognitive development areas: teaching animal sounds, counting, colors, putting in and taking out, open and close, etc. I think it is something that would interest a young toddler for a long time.     • Great toy!
I gave this to my one-year-old for Christmas. She plays with it a lot and really likes all the animals. It's such a cute toy that is also educational in many ways. She can learn the names of animals and the sounds they make, but she can also practice opening and closing the barn, which takes some dexterity. The Velcro is pretty strong, so she initially had trouble opening it herself. Now she's a pro at it. She's also figuring out how to make the animal noises come on (by squeezing the animals, each in a different spot). The toy seems to be well made. I don't know how long the batteries will last, but they're still going strong. The only semi-negative thing I have to say is that the animal sounds are kind of loud and there's no way to adjust the volume. And once you hit the button, the sound plays three times. So don't accidentally squeeze one while everyone else is asleep! ... show more

I actually bought this for my dog. She's large but she loves small toys, especially ones that have music or sound. This set is nice because each animal does something (the chick is a rattle, the pig has a squeeker, the rooser makes a crowing noise and the cow makes a mooing noise). They are nicely made and fit in the barn carrier which is also nicely made. I actually like the set so much I am going to order another for my niece. ... show more

    • Really really cute, kind of loud
This is the CUTEST little farm set. The animals are just little and fun. My daughter was terrified of the "mooo" at first (it is pretty loud and I can see how it would freak her out a bit) but she eventually grew out of that haha.

This is an adorable set. My daughter loves to hear the cow moooooo, unfortunately rooster arrived broken - sound not working. If you do order this item, make sure your duck rattles, your pig squeaks, your cow moos and your rooster cock a doodle doos.     • Cute gift for my nephew
The barn and animal set are very cute. Animals are well stitched and look like they are supposed to. Barn lid Velcros shut tightly so can carry without opening. I did not attempt to make any noises with the animals because I did not want to run out the batteries, but they are so cute I do not think the noises being there or not makes much of a difference. Will buy again if I become an aunt again. BTW, the names of the animals were not stitched on the sides, which I should take off another star on educational value (only 3 stars for educational). However, not having the names really does not take anything else away from the item. ... show more

    • Fun toy for small child.
My son received this toy for his first birthday, and he loves playing with it. The little animals are a perfect size for his little hands, and he loves taking them out of the little barn and putting them back in. Only the cow and rooster make animal noises, the duck rattles and the pig is a squeaky toy. I would prefer if they all made animal noises, but he doesn't care. He actually likes the pig the best, he laughs when we make him squeak. I liked this toy enough that I bought it and the beach house version for my twin nephews for their first birthday.
