I am still early on in my hours on this amplifier., the Aune S17 Pro EVO. This is the newest upgrade model of this Aune amp line. However, I feel comfortable in this review. What a great sounding Class A headphone amp. This just puts such a deep floor on my Fostex TH900 MK2's you would believe there was a sub in your ear. Plus, I am using the preamp function to great effect with my tube amps. Very nice and very easy to navigate the system. The connections are great. I am using the 4.4mm balanced input and RCA unbalanced out for the Pre. Clarity and Detail at this price point are both exceptional. Please be assured of the value. I also have the more straightforward Beyer DT1770 Pro studio monitor phones and again, the transparency is just there, top to bottom clean Class A warmth. My bread and butter sound. I am not a fan of open back phones from the early 2k's but; I purchased this specific amp so that I could try them again. The amp is said to be able to drive all of the most demanding cans including the Susvarnas. If I want to try some of the higher end planars this will drive them according to WaveTheory, et. al. on YT.

Faulty in less than one year.

I only use this amplifier like 2-3 times per month. In last one year, no sound comes out from the left channel with XLR input. I tried different cables and DACs but nothing help.
