The inseam on my shorts measures 4 1/2", which is acceptable, but I don't consider this "longer." Sizing is not particularly generous. If you are hesitating between small and medium, get the medium. These are not the same shorts that I bought last year. They are supposed to be Augusta, but they don’t have the Augusta label in them and the size is way off. Very disappointing. Whoever they are using to manufacture these has changed the pattern. See the pictures. I bought the Royal blue medium shorts last year and they have the Augusta label in them. They fit great. I just bought the dark blue and they don’t have the right label and the size is more like a large. I also bought a pair of black ones in the same order and I’m having the same problem. Bought these for my 12-year-old who runs cross country. She now wears them to school because they're so comfortable and I like them because they're long. Unlike many of the Daisy Duke shorts that show way too much in my opinion. It's great cuz she can wear them to school and be comfortable and dress it up with a dress of your top and then change into a t-shirt and run the track. I am really disappointed. First, these shorts took nearly a WEEK to receive. Second, I was not able to cancel the order, even though it hadn't shipped yet or even been packed yet. THIRD, when I received the shorts and opened the shipping package, the shorts were just tossed in there, no protective covering, plastic bag or anything. And, possibly worst of all, they look like they have been previously used...no tags, no size, etc. And I'm sorry, but there is no way these are a ladies xl. Now, for returning this junk... I was given no other choice than to print a return label and send through USPS! I don't have a printer so that adds to the chore of having to returning this joke of an order. Don't waste your time or money people, Academy Sports or even Walmart has better quality shorts for around the same price, if not cheaper. ... show more
